Today we visited the UK’s only community-owned fish and chips with Co-operative Mayor Richard Parker.

This business proves community ownership isn’t just for cafes or retailers - it can power any business on the high street. 🐟
Listening to the inspiring @mayorofwy.bsky.social about how our co-op movement can offer hope, when it's desperately needed. 🐝
A first for me - our Co-operative Leaders Forum in Leeds this morning - great to hear how our values are informing local government.
This morning, we welcomed leaders in local government to Leeds, to speak with Local Government Minister and Chair of our Party, Jim McMahon MP.

Our local government representatives put our values into place each and every day, up and down the country.
"The ninth anniversary of Jo Cox’s murder today offers a moment for us to reflect, and to remember Jo’s life and the change she made.

It’s also an opportunity for us to recommit to working towards the kinder, fairer and more tolerant world that she believed in."

And they have clarified - much higher for just Yorkshire! bsky.app/profile/youg...
While 34% of those in the Yorkshire and the Humber region say they have a very strong attachment to "Yorkshire and the Humber", a higher 40% hold a similar connection to "Yorkshire"

I thought that - but I think there is a difference between the four regions of Yorkshire and the Humber area. There will be a difference in asking if you identify as Yorkshire or Yorkshire & Humber.
At least 10 hours left to go and make a difference...
Polls are open!

You heard Emma. Make a difference for your community today and vote for your local Labour & Co-operative candidates.

You have until 10PM, and bring ID!
Congratulations to our newest Labour & Co-operative Councillor Adele Cook, who won the by-election in Ipswich last night.
Suffolk County Council St John's division residents, remember to vote for Adele Cook in today's SCC byelection. Polls open until 10pm.
Voting is now open for the Co-op Group AGM. It's as easy as opening the Co-op app.

We’re asking Co-op Group members to vote Yes on Motion 8 to continue their historic partnership with the Co-operative Party.
