And I know they knew him as a coach for years, but being a manger is hard and obviously personality defects will come to light with that pressure. I’m just surprised after how bad the Matheny clubhouses got… they went the route they did.

I just don’t understand how you go from the toxic clubhouse of the Matheny years and NOT go with an established manager whose personality you know or know of. It’s been my only beef with Mo’s handling of managers.

Honestly, if it takes that long (and I understand why it might), fan revolt will be least of their worries.

2023-2028 with complete duds (with a completely wasted 2025 for no reason other than Mo’s ego), a potential lockout… it will take years to get the fandom back to spending how BDW likes.
