In my book, Between Two Rivers, I take you through what it was like to go to school in ancient Babylonia.

Discarded clay tablets from schools preserve the many stages of education and also just…kids being kids. Like one who did this little doodle of (maybe) the teacher

So thrilled you discovered the podcast! 🙈 the accent
I discovered the podcast quite by accident a few weeks ago and I'm hooked. Also, I love the NZ accent (I lived in QLD for a while and had many NZ friends) and the intro music. 😎

This is my favorite picture of Stonewall.

They knew they were getting arrested just for being LGBTQ+.

Yet... they're still here, standing outside of the boarded up Stonewall Inn, smiling as the world was at a fever pitch of hatred against them.

I think about it a lot in moments like this.

I’ve been thinking a lot recently about women who don’t perform gender roles ‘properly.’ There are lots of women who don’t conform to gender stereotypes and one of them is Judith whose bloody murder of Holofernes marked her out as both a lethal woman and a biblical hero. I loved making this episode!
