October is National Pedestrian Safety Month and the Emeryville Police Department would like to remind drivers to always take extra precautions to help protect pedestrians.
City Hall will be closed Monday, October 13 in observance of Indigenous Peoples' Day.

Starting January 1, 2025, California law (AB 413) bans parking within 20 feet of crosswalks—or 15 feet where there are curb extensions—to improve visibility and keep pedestrians safe. Emeryville will mark over 100 of these daylighting zones with red curb paint.
