I’m writing a college recommendation for a HS senior who’s currently working on a ceramics project showing AI putting walls up between humans. Kids aren’t “doomed”. Adults need to stop projecting that onto them.
(Bonus: I didn’t know she was working on it when I agreed to write said rec.)

I'm going to eat my HAT trying to find this book I thought I saved for purchase. It's a collection of Jewish tales that came out this year. I believe it has a blue cover and has folktales in the title. Help?

I have thoughts on this, mostly in agreement, but am cognizant of accessibility issues. There is further discussion to be had on tech over-reliance but it has to be in tandem with what (print-based) mediums are used to teach (and how to go beyond them).

I finally heard a song off of Taylor Swift's new album today. I first thought it was Chappell Roan, then Sabrina Carpenter, and then when I heard the word 'Ophelia' I was like 'oh, is this Taylor Swift?' followed by the thought 'my co-worker is not going to be happy when I tell her this.'

Holy CRAP, @pbs.org got an all-star cast of voices to read the #AmRev primary sources, including Paul Giamatti reprising John Adams, a mini-Homeland reunion of Damian Lewis, Clarie Danes, and Mandy Patinkin, and, of course, Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep. That's SCRATCHING the surface. What a start.

OH MY GOD the mayoral race flipped to the challenger (YES!!!!!!!) but it's, right now, a difference of SEVENTY-SEVEN (77) votes and the County Republican committee has already (as expected) asked for a recount.

They're going to expand further into distribution with Baker and Taylor's demise too. B&N made the smart move of building around their local communities.
In fact, B&N has been expanding rather a bit recently; their sales are up and they've refreshed their stores. And independent books stores have been growing in numbers too! It's been quite a turnaround for brick and mortar bookstores in the last couple of years. I hope it lasts.
I'm more shocked they're still opening new B&Ns.
