oh man. It was worth a visit. I had been wanting to get out there for awhile and then Sacred Profane opened. Had to go!
Looks like I need to take a trip to Toronto.
ohhhh... I'll have to try that.
Saw them on 70k Tons cruise in 2016. Have a bunch of good pics from that show.
Yep. Gemut is always good and a really nice spot to visit.
Bolt Fuckin' Thrower! I almost never see anyone else wearing Bolt Thrower gear at shows but did see a dude wearing a camo Bolt Thrower hat at the Acid Bath show in Baltimore.
I didn't know that was there. The only beer we went looking for in Switzerland was in Gimmelwald but they were closed and then we missed the last ride back to Murren and had to hike back up in the dark lol. Good times!
Definitely would have stopped there.
Another of my favorite spots in that area (that I don't see talked about much) is Burning Blush. It's just around the corner in Mills River. May as well visit Sierra Nevada while you're over there.
That Dunkel looks good!
That should be Golem Czech Pils. We need an edit button!
Stopped at Gemut Biergarten brewery in Columbus on our way to see Nate Bargatze. The windows were custom made for the brewery. The beer is their Gollum Czech Pils.

That brewery is worth a visit. One of the best tours I have been on and the beer at the end is fantastic!
Here are a few from the last time we were there (2024).
So good I've been on the tour twice! I took some good pics of the underground area.
Could you partner with a local brewery that might use that much? I don't think I can get those here (US) or I would send you a # of each since I would like to try them as well.
Next stop is Ministry of Brewing.
Another Czech Pils.

Trip to Baltimore for the Acid Bath, High on Fire, Windhand and Heavy Temple show. Stopped at Guilford Brewery. This is the Czech 10. Pretty solid. Really cool building too.
Meant to visit them both times I was in Prague and just didn't get there. We did manage to find the 12 though at an arcade bar (Joystik). Also randomly found it in a local (midwest US) country store. I guess they shipped some over once and it was canned in NJ for Distro. Good stuff!
What's different about the Red label version? When in Rome I got a draft Peroni and it was excellent! Ordered it again at another place and it was the same old boring industrial lager we get over here. Bought some bottles to see which one was the good one but never figured it out.
Thanks for the info Evan. I will brew something based on those numbers and see what I get. Have to finish another keg of 12 pils (and English Mild) while this one ferments. Oh darn!
The only way I'm going to know is if I make one. No plans to head back to CZ for a bit (unless Kout reopens). I'll prob try something like 20 IBU's for the first attempt.
a 7?? That's like a 1.028 OG. I think I would have to cut the hops to half of what I would normally use and even then it might be over-hopped. I do like the idea of a session pils. Maybe I'll make a small batch and see what I get. I thought 10 was pushing it lol.
