A little oil pastels study, I’m having so much fun with them!
Alt text:
Gouache and colored pencil illustration of a girl with long brown hair and bangs, wearing a blue dress with small pink flowers. She has a pink flower crown on her head and holds a basket of pink flowers in front of her. She wears blue shoes.
Also this paper is totally not adapt for gouache, some parts are smoother, the others rougher because I also did too many layers. I'll search for a better paper!
One of the reasons I started traditional art again is I wanted to feel more free, to draw and post as it is. Ultimately I understood that it's posting itself that gives me anxiety, but happiness at the same time? I'm sorry, I'm weird. I'm struggling to feel more confident.
After posting I saw the hands were a mess, the kind of stuff you strangely notice just after posting, so I tried fixing them.
And I realized that once again my perfectionism is taking the fun away from the process.
Very last time I post it, I was feeling insecure because I'm new at this medium but at the same time I enjoy sharing my process, so I let that win.
The struggle of a digital artist switching to traditional and trying to take good photos of their art is so real...
Yes, I tried posting it last evening but I tried taking a better photo with daylight, needless to say I give up. 😭

I just got the opportunity to be part of an art show next year! This means it’s time for me to commit and start creating something worth sharing.
It's motivating to have something to look forward to!

Trying oil pastels for the first time and I already love them!
I've been to a few museums this month, and seeing so much art has sparked my inspiration back!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart, your words are so motivating to me! 💕💕
Yes, I think they’re quite small and for that I think they're perfect to carry around, I would definitely suggest!!
