By not releasing the video of the second strike, Donald Trump and Pete Hegseth are making it clear that they can’t defend what’s on the tape.

We are going to keep up the pressure on this very important issue. @ms.now

I went on 93.3 KJR to talk about the Score Act, money in college athletics, and fair competition.

I have not seen any evidence yet that proves the Trump Administration's story about the strikes in the Caribbean. I will continue to conduct rigorous oversight and demand transparency and accountability from Pete Hegseth and the Trump administration.
Rep. Smith: The second video shows the remains of that boat. They were clinging to what remained of it. They were not armed. They did not have communications devices. There was no evidence that cocaine survived. Why do you think they won't release this one? Because it looks bad for them.

This week, I introduced two bills:

The Dignity for Detained Immigrants Act would stop the inhuman treatment of immigrants in detention centers.

The CHARGE Act funds community health clinics and ensures they can keep serving their patients during power outages.

The video I watched this week of the Caribbean boat strike shows two shipwrecked individuals who had no means to move, much less pose an immediate threat.

A few days ago, I sat down with the @WABoysMen to talk about the challenges boys and men face.

It’s a fact that there are growing gender gaps in educational attainment, mental health, and more. We all must work together to lift everyone up.

As we honor the trans lives lost to violence today, look at @GLAAD’s reporting on anti-LGBTQ+ extremism.

Each act of violence is unacceptable. I stand in solidarity with the Trans community as we fight for a safer future.

The Trump administration’s killing of at least 80 people since early September is likely illegal, immoral and Congress should put a stop to it.

Our work can’t stop because nothing we want to accomplish can be done without a Democratic majority in the House.

I hope you’ll volunteer with our campaign as we look to the 2026 election.
