On May 4 1970 Ohio National Guard fired upon Kent State U students protesting the Vietnam War and US invasion of Cambodia, killing students Allison Krause, Jeffrey Miller, Sandra Scheuer, and William Schroeder, and wounding 9 others.

For me the other major paradoxes - ok let's say "conflicts" - of art life can be family time and relationship (gf bf) time. 1 way to manage fam time is to involve your kids and spouse in the creative process. The gf / bf conflict really depends on mutual understanding. I guess it all does, really.
