Thank you for spotlighting this very important news!! For the past 5 years, we’ve been leading the effort to bring #seaotters back to the #Oregoncoast. Unfortunately, they were hunted to local extinction over a century ago - making #Oregon the only state on the without a resident population.

FYI these are river otters - very plentiful on the coast and in rivers in Oregon. Sea otters have been absent on the Oregon coast for over 100 years, unfortunately after being hunted to local extinction. But, we're hopeful to change that - learn more at www.OregonSeaOtters.org
