Switched from time online to local quests over the hols!

❤️ the cornflower blue glass.
🐚 Checked shells were empty with my phone light.

Don’t know much about rocks/fossils but mistakenly thought I found a Devils Toenail.

Colours are sublime.

How inspiring! Tuesdays Riverside Routes Tyne Derwent Way session with Winlaton West Lane Primary School and artist Paul Merrick. Painterly woods sprung up along their River Derwent. Loved how each tree had an unique personality #TyneDerwentWay #GatesheadCouncil #RiversideRoutes
What I didn’t say on Sunday is that when I was struggling I actually completed responses for most of the #abstractadvent from @artpedagogy . Some are more successful than others.
Will I share them all? Probs no but possibly #day2 #brushpens #watercolourpencils
Thank you I’ll let the gang know their work was appreciated at our next session.
This is the sort of epic view I see in the children’s landscapes ❤️

Practice makes progress. Look at my very precise little viewfinder haha
Contemplating #abstractadvent from art pedagogy for art club tomorrow. I always like to give things a go. I feel frustrated. It’s all very flat. I need to work more on it but also need to tell the kids sometimes art can be frustrating.

Go read about it here

Festive trad to visit ArtsCentreWashington & make Christmas wreaths. Warmly led by Rachel Hamer, Alison & John. The greenery is foraged, baubles bought at charity shops, & bows made from recycled fabric. Thanks for making this an affordable treat.

Eilis from Mustard Stories CiC inspiring young artists at St Joseph’s RCVA Highfield making zines as part of their Riverside Routes project. The class teacher Mrs Herron is incredibly supportive. Enjoying being able to commission this company and see their approach.
A busy day for this #northeast #artist and #creativeproducer
Enjoyed photographing children’s artwork from #southtyneside libraries arts and crafts club planning for our exhibition at The Word in January. This is ‘Brilliant Badger’ by Valentine from Hebburn. Gorgeous yes? #arteducstion
Great Riverside Routes creative session led by Paul Merrick at Winlaton West Lane Primary School today. Part of the Tyne Derwent Way.
I posted this on Bluesky & X, curious to see which would perform better. IMO it’s a draw! Neither post received meaningful engagement. What does this tell me? I won’t put too much energy into either! Whilst it was niche question I’m certain Twitter of old would have given me some leads.
