Some of you absolute sweetie pies have asked how you can best support my small press and first novel. Thank you! Here are the top 3 ways you can help (beyond grabbin’ a copy & readin’ it!):

Our first ever Book Launch was a huge success! Thanks so much to all family, friends, and friends of friends who came out to celebrate BREAKWATER, by Vivian Wilderbridge. It was so wonderful to see you and share this story about resilience, motherhood, climate change, and chosen family. 🎶🌊 #booksky
MERRY: "Too many boats."

PIPPIN: "I've already told all my friends at the Green Dragon and the Prancing Pony about this book. Have you? Well you better hop to it."

BILBO: "I know about leaving home and forgetting all your handkerchiefs. It's awful really, what Carey and her kin had to go through. Thinking of it makes me long for a nice pot of tea."

GALADRIEL: "Not every future herein told must come to pass. Heed the warnings in your heart."
LEGOLAS: "I too have danced with Rain and Wind and found them formidable partners. Vivian is most welcome among the Elves."

GIMLI: "Dragons and gators seem of a kind."

FRODO: "I hope you don't mind me saying it, but the Florida in this book reminds me of a soggy Mordor."
This Hobbit Day season I recieved MORE CELEBRITY ENDORSEMENTS for my novel, Breakwater!!! I am humbled and astounded by these generous testimonials:

GANDALF: "A wizard always knows when a tale is worthwhile, and BREAKWATER is worth several whiles."
That’s all I can think of for now but THANK YOU sweet sweet wonderful people. You are truly the bestest and I’m honored for any bandwidth or energy you can spare in these directions.
3. Book club that shit! Reading with one friend is fun, reading with a bunch of people is awesome sauce. Discussions can be way more interesting and challenging with a few extra perspectives thrown in the mix. My hope is that Breakwater is the kind of book that's worth discussing.
2. Review it online? I’m told Amazon doesn’t let you post review unless you bought it there? Boooo! But maybe post your honest reaction elsewhere? I honestly get a kick reading what friends have to say about books, albums, tv, movies, etc. Even one or two sentences could peak someone’s interest.
1. Word of mouth. Tell 5 bookish friends or family about BREAKWATER if you think they might like it. Email or text em? Or maybe talk in person but follow up with a link? (I forget what people recommend unless I get a text. 😛 )

Sirens has announced some of their faculty for 2026! So exciting!
Invited speakers--our faculty--are the cornerstone of Sirens's educational program. In 2026, we're expanding their role: more speakers, with more presentations, which means more opportunities for you to learn from experts in a variety of fields🤓

Let's meet our first round of 2026 faculty:

BREAKWATER, by Vivian Wilderbridge, is not as silly as this post, but I hope it has amusing moments. :)

Review of BREAKWATER by Pedroh PasKal:

“Honestly, haven’t had time to read it, but Vivian is a great friend and a good kisser. She said I can say that. Her book will be wonderful. I’m happy to star in the film adaptation, and I’ll be friends with anyone who reads it.”
Sometimes stories are the soup we need to heal, to keep going, or to fight for what we love. I write because I genuinely hope my words might comfort, fuel, or provide company for anyone feeling low. I’ve been there myself, so many times, and books help.
Sirens is returning! Reimagined and better than ever, I’m sure.
Sirens has been around since 2009, though we've taken a few years off to read, rest, and reimagine what Sirens could be. It might be different from what you remember--or from other events that you might know. As you make a decision about whether to attend, you might find some info helpful 🤓
A graphic with the following text: "Sirens...Reimagined. Maybe you've been to lots of sci-fi cons. Or fantasy balls. Or even the first twelve years of Sirens. Sirens in 2026 might be different from what you're expecting. Here's how:" with an arrow to the next post in the thread
I’ve heard great things about this novel and @tanaudel.bsky.social is fantastic!
