#TIL that often cops complete the #DoorDash orders after arresting the DoorDash driver delivering the order.
He showed me a breakdown of how he got to $150 bill. Technically, he only needed to pay $10 extra per month to get #F1, but the prerequisite was that the most expensive cable package included a $10 add-on for #F1 races.

But to be fair, there was no better option in the past for the US viewers to watch #F1. A friend of mine's cable bill was over $150 about 20 years ago to get a subscription allowing him to follow #F1.

Fortunately, or unfortunately, in our household, it's easier to list major streaming services that we don't have, which is almost none (I think... since I am not the one who signs up for them).

Where are all the #Rochester area mountain goats?

Colorfest Mountain Run offers significant elevation gains & losses, & breathtaking views if you still have breath left after climbing up & down the hills.

This event is on Sunday, October 17, 2025.

I am, of course, biased, but it took me about 20 years living in the US to start truly appreciating European architectural gems. I took it for granted when I grew up in it, and I thought, what's a big deal with this 500+ year old castle, manor house, town hall, etc.
And when you try to please others, it eventually leads to a situation where you don't do anything to please yourself, and not too many appreciate your efforts anyway.

Since I live my life to the best of my satisfaction, without worrying too much about what others think about me. Not that I am mean to others, but I learned that I cannot please everyone, regardless of how hard I try.

I went through this in my early 30s and concluded that worrying about the meaning of my present is overrated and can lead to long, thought-provoking rabbit holes that get you nowhere. It's not a new phenomenon, and none of the past and present philosophers have been able to answer this question.

Well… I can do all that without going on vacation…
Got it. I'd definitely appreciate the possibility of walking to a local watering hole and, hopefully, developers don't go too crazy and eliminate Lucien Morin. However, I doubt that having semi-regular traffic from apartments would get them out of the 4.7M debt.
Behind it? Like on the same side of the Empire as K2?

Either way, I always found traffic on Empire a bear, which deterred me from visiting K2 or Bar-Bill more often. At times, forget about turning left after visiting both places!
With my #chess rating dipping, I get to play against folks whose rating is lower than my average rating. However, I found it hard to play against these players because, even though they may not play good chess, they give me looks I am not used to, and I just lost five games in a row....
I wish the weirdness were limited only to the first quarter…
#SummerProject completed.

At the beginning of the year, Sofija said she would prefer to have #Sauna in our backyard instead of a pool. We can use the sauna all year long, whereas the pool would have limited usage mostly during summer. Sure, a pool would be nice, but we are not Rockefellers...
#MathGeekThoughts

It's mathematically impossible to give more than 100% of what you can give.
I was asked yesterday, "Has anyone told you that you look like Sean Connery?"

I always knew I was handsome, but this was a new level of handsome even for me!
The other night, I was asked for ID when I ordered a glass of wine. I replied - Do I look that young and the waiter said, "No. I just wanted to see if you qualified for the Senior Citizen Discount."
