After living in Finland → US → Netherlands → Spain, I learned a thing or two about purchase protection. So decided to build norteapp.io - a personal coverage intelligence to help you manage the coverage for your trips, rentals, and purchases.

Just shipped a new landing page this weekend:

✍️ Tagline: From "Stop Buying Coverage... " to "Find The $2k+ In Benefits"
💻 Visual: From lifestyle to multiple product screen shoots
🖱️ CTA: From multiple CTAs to one.

📈 4 new signups since shipped.

What is your main conversion lever?
Changed my landing page hero copy from a negative to a positive statement: sign ups scaled up after a long plateau.

Sometimes your positioning is what’s blocking your traction.

AI can read your policy.
But can it understand it?

Insurance is written at university-level complexity. Without human judgment, AI just automates bad decisions at scale.

Norte only works because we built the systems around the AI.
Today I shipped the Instant Coverage Checker 🧭 in Norte's landing page

✅ Pick your card
✅ Pick a scenario (rental car / travel / purchase)
✅ See if you’re already covered — free, no signup

Panic-bought 455€AXA travel insurance because of a potential heart condition. Results? No heart issues found and never used the extra coverage.

Building Norte, I realized the real problem: Sometimes we pay for clarity, not protection.
57% of Norte users set up their profile within hours of signing up.

Building a trigger-based app taught me activation happens fast or not at all.
PSA for Amex Platinum holders:

Your Q4 credits expire in 103 days:
- Resy Dining: $100
- Lululemon: $75
- Digital Entertainment: $75

Haven't enrolled yet? That's $250 going to Amex instead of you.
We just updated Norte with all Amex Platinum changes.

The math on the $200 fee increase:
❌ Old: $695 fee, ~$1,500 benefits
✅ New: $895 fee, ~$3,500 benefits

But only if you actually USE the quarterly credits.

Amex Platinum just jumped to $895/year 💳

But there's $1,020 in NEW credits hidden in the fine print:
- $400 Resy dining
- $300 Lululemon
- $200 Oura Ring
- $120 Uber One

Problem: They're quarterly use-or-lose credits. Miss Q4 enrollment? You're leaving $175 on the table.
Not all launch directories are equal. I tested a few for Norte:

•Peerlist → traffic, users, upvotes
•Uneed → zero traffic, but maybe SEO value

Lesson: some platforms are for visibility, others are just for backlinks. Learning where to spend energy is part of the game.

Launched norteapp.io most of them did not bring much results, others - multiple upvotes and signups.

It’s been interesting to see how the platform performed on each directory.

Launched Norte in @peerlist.bsky.social today 🎉

Most launchpads reward SaaS & B2B tools solving founder pain.

15 upvotes + 3 signups on day 1 might sound small. But for a new category with no playbook, that’s a big win for me.

That’s why I built Norte.

To deliver a simple way to see all the protections you already own (with their limitations and exclusions) across cards, perks & policies.

The benefits exist. Not just in your CCs, but other personal policies or employee benefits that cover more than you know.

Because they buried in 80-page PDFs of fine print.

And issuers aren’t exactly motivated to remind you.

This isn’t rare.

Every year, people waste $$$ on:

– Duplicate travel insuranc
– Extended warranties they already had
– Phone protection plans they didn’t need

… or just leave money on the table for not making a claim they are entitled to.

I used to pay $100s for rental car insurance.

My credit card already covered most of it.

I just didn’t know how it worked.

🚀 I’m looking for #frequenttravelers and people juggling multiple #creditcards to demo something I’ve been building.

It’s a tool that uncovers hidden travel protections & perks already built into your cards.

If this sounds like you (or someone you know), reply or DM me—would love your feedback.
Solo founders, vibe coders, travel hackers, or wallet optimizers... let's follow each other! 👋

Something most people forget about building solo is the learning.

It feels like we only celebrate the $XXXMRR but how about all the skills along the way?

Be proud of your achievements beyond user count and revenue.
Airlines dropping compensation requirements = more reason to know your existing coverage.

Did you know your premium credit card adds an extra year (or more) on top of the manufacturer’s warranty?

Protection for damage/theft (up to $10K/claim), and can cover broken cell phone screens. Yet most pay extra for AppleCare owithout realizing their wallet already do the job.
