Thank you, I'll need all the encouragement I can get. I've never gone to in person therapy before as I've always just toughed it out myself my whole life, so this is all new to me and extremely daunting. But I'm at the point that it's gotta be done, for both mine and my wife's sake.

My doctor also got me to do a DASS21 test to assess where I'm currently at, and I scored extremely severe in both depression and stress. Yippee

I was playing with my daughter last night and I laughed in what felt like the first time in months. I know it's just something tiny, but I think the knowledge that I'm finally seeking the help I need, along with everyones' kind comments yesterday, has cheered me up a little bit.

I'm constantly anxious at the thought of people thinking that I'm purposefully ignoring them, which only adds to my stress, but I can barely muster enough energy to be social for a couple of minutes a day. I'm sorry if I haven't been very active lately, I've been going through a pretty severe bout of depression recently, and my usual response is to just hide away. I'm seeing my gp soon in hopes that I can get a good treatment plan, as it's currently consuming my entire life.

I do try, unfortunately I've just never been good at sleeping. Naturally I'm more active at night, plus my brain is incapable of shutting up for even a second, so it's hard for me to actually get to sleep. Then add in me being an extremely light sleeper that wakes at the slightest noise, and yeah
