Ok, one day to go before I publish my new piece...
The 20 Biggest Years of the Beatles.

This was a fun piece to write and, hopefully, it will be just as rewarding to read: a countdown of their most significant years, from the '60s and beyond!
Hello all, I thought I'd give a build up to a forthcoming piece I've written...
Coming soon...
The Top 20 Biggest Years of the Beatles.
.... a countdown of the years that mattered most in the career and afterlife of this famous and, dare I say, very well thought of group.
Moviewatch this weekend: Battleship Potempkin and The Thursday Murder Club. One of these deals with a bunch of people who pledge to fight against the murderous tyranny of the rich and their filthy ways. The other one is a newly restored 100 year-old classic of Russian cinema.
It is magnificent, especially when Patti Smith's vocal kicks in towards the end. The album is odd and wonderful. Electrolite is a beauty too.
Loved it! Weekend complete.
Annie Lennox might like them. She loves walking on broken glasses.
Hello all, hope the weekend is going well.
Here’s my latest Substack article... a look at music in the 21st Century, a review of the first 25 years. Did it go well for you?
Any suggestions for a 21st Century playlist?

My latest post on Substack delves into Mojo’s 1995 list of the 100 Greatest Albums Ever Made. Is it time for an update, a recount or what?

Which must be titled 'Socksy Daily'.
Is it about time we stopped griping about Mike Love's place in the Beach Boys' legacy. He's carried them through the years, albeit to his specifications. But without him, would the group actually feel or be the Beach Boys?
I get the feeling that they've just accepted each other's personal scruples and need for space - and seem to get on better because of it.
I have to wish Morten all the best, it must gut wrenching for him. Hearing him on True North, a fantastic a-ha album, he's got soul and tenderness in abundance.

In the wake of Morten Harket's Parkinson's diagnoses, I rewatched a-ha – The Movie, which, Get Back notwithstanding, I think might be my favourite music documentary of all time. It was actually even more compelling the second time around. www.patreon.com/posts/on-ha-...

A pollen state of affairs.
Literally have the last word!
In all seriousness, that's a hollow feeling for sure. Are cover versions allowed, or featured writers' credits?
If Tindersticks covered Kylie it would have to be 'Confide In Me'.
I applied for the position of lead singer in Nirvana. Their reply was curt, to say the least.
Movie idea.
Jack, an intrepid baggage handler, puts off retirement for one last case.

I can't believe Kemi Badenoch's favourite Duran Duran song - and job predicament - is Union of the Snake.
