We tried the "sinfully delicious" postal brownies from Edinburgh's Gimmie Brownies. The taste is absolutely incredible, but our box unfortunately had a very rough journey in the post. Read our full review.
Review: Gimmie Brownies Halloween Box - Edinburgh Reviews
Gimmie Brownies' Halloween box is "sinfully delicious." I ate all six in a day. The taste is 5/5. But the box arrived dented via Parcel Force, and the artistic toppings were squished. If I had kids, they'd be "gutted." A 3/5 for a damaged festive treat.

The dead zone behind the Omni Centre has been replaced by Edinburgh Street Food. The neon lights and gravity of the venue draw people in. We discuss the successful transformation and what visitors should expect from the food court.
Review: Edinburgh Street Food (ESF), a neon-lit haven at the Omni - Edinburgh Reviews
A vibrant addition to the East End, ESF offers a slick mix-and-match dining experience. It is open late and ideal for the Playhouse crowd. While slightly pricier due to surcharges, the convenience and atmosphere make it a must-visit.

The Giant Lanterns have returned to Edinburgh Zoo after six years with a spectacular aquatic theme. We found a shark funnel, a Sharknado and a Kraken battling a pirate ship. It is a solid 5-star experience that completely transforms the hill.

Mara on The Shore is a chic Leith gastropub with a fantastic waterside terrace. It boasts a formal restaurant and casual bar, serving great local beers. The food is delicious, but be warned: some 'large' meals, like the salmon skewers, are small.
Review: Mara, a stylish gastropub on The Shore - Edinburgh Reviews
A flexible gastropub in Leith's competitive Shore district. Mara shines with its outdoor seating, local craft ales, and late weekend hours. The menu is strong, though some main dishes feel more like light bites. A stylish spot for discerning friends.

Celebrate in style at The Cocktail Geeks! This pop-culture themed bar changes its decor and menu regularly. We loved the Stranger Things theme, D20 cocktail gambles, and excellent mocktails. Great for special occasions. Highly recommended!

A practical, clean spot with room for prams, located by the Vue cinema. Sadly, the slow service is a deal-breaker if you're in a hurry. You'll find better, faster fish and chips on Bernard Street.
