Early-retirement couch potato in his mid-50s.

I've seen the future. I can't afford it.

I prefer to use this space to escape politics, for the most part.

The first 'M' stands for 'McRib', Nancy.

My own personal add-ons to this list:

"What's in it? I can't eat that."
"What time is this thing supposed to be over? I'm liable to fall asleep."
"I can't go. One of us needs to stay home and take care of the dogs."
"I don't think they'll let me wear sweatpants and sneakers in there."
I have replaced my FOMO with DOJI: Dread of Joining In. Repeat after me:l
“I don’t know what that is.”
”I haven’t heard/seen/read that.”
“I probably won’t get around to that.”

The older you get, the easier and more glorious it is.

MAIL CALL! My order from one of the big sales that the Archie Comics Shop regularly holds has arrived, heavy with Christmas digests, facsimile editions, and some digest variant covers. (Wish that they would put the actual title of the variants on the spine of the digest, though. No big deal.)

Oh, sure, other elves. Make fun of Hermey for wanting to be a dentist. But just how many dentists do you have at the North Pole who accept Santacare insurance, and take last-minute walk-in appointments?

Greer Grant meets and marries the man of her dreams but he is killed during a hold up.

She gets a job as the lab assistant for her old professor.

She learns that an eccentric billionaire is using the professor to create an army of mind-controlled Amazons.

Greer decides to do something about it.

CHRISTMAS COMICS!

From my collection, ARCHIE GIANT SERIES #4 (1957). The first 6 issues of this title were released annually as 'Archie's Christmas Stocking', before switching to rotating features in 1960. This is the oldest issue of the series that I own.
