Early-retirement couch potato in his mid-50s.

I've seen the future. I can't afford it.

I prefer to use this space to escape politics, for the most part.

(EDITED TO ADD: Jeff was an unreliable narrator. I checked the app on his phone, and there is an 80¢ upcharge at this location for the 'Grinch Salt' dill pickle seasoning to add to the fries. I apologize.)
Pics from 'Snackolator'. Had the McShaker Fries from McDonalds today (you can order the fries, w/out ordering the entire meal.) No upcharge for the packet of dill pickle seasoning. As someone who likes foods w/pickle seasoning, I liked 'em a lot. The whole season packet might be too much for others.

The Funnies #1
Dell, January 16, 1929

Front page by Joe Archibald.

This can be considered the very first newsstand comic book, put out by Dell Publishing nearly a decade before it hooked up with Western Publishing.

Peter Carl Goldmark (born today 1906) established the process for etching microgrooves onto an acetate disk. This large, platter-shaped object would rotate on a turntable at 33 1/3 revolutions per minute – the record album was born. Goldmark died in 1977.
