Today marks the end of Hispanic Heritage Month, a month that celebrates & acknowledges the contributions of those of Hispanic descent. This is a reminder to our followers that we have a Hanford Story Map in Spanish as we promote inclusivity across the board!

October 12 - 18 is Earth Science week.
Did you know that many Ecology employees have different degrees in science? These degrees range everywhere from geology, meteorology, climatology, oceanography all the way to environmental sciences.
This week we celebrate studying our planet!

The TPA sets out the framework for how the agencies work together to cleanup Hanford and sets enforceable deadlines. Ecology is responsible for regulating chemical and hazardous waste cleanup under the Resource Conservation & Recovery Act.

Fire Prevention Week is observed Oct. 5 - 11. During this week, people of all ages learn about fire safety & ways to prevent fires.

Dance shows at the site were a common activity to keep employees engaged in afterhours activities. However, these activities were also segregated. #TBT
