The same as I ever was: lots of writing, lots of complaining. But almost never complaining about writing.

Absolutely beyond me that every kid in my life has been taught by their teachers that Wikipedia is garbage while they take everything AI tells them as gospel because that's all their teachers use
It turns out, from other episodes, I have learned that the agents all spy on each other, so the boss lets them do the spying for him.
My least favorite part about writing is the EDITING. Which I say out loud because it's why I don't get the point of ChatGPT et al. The only thing worse than editing to me is editing something that came from something that's not my own brain.
Her: I think this cereal is sweet.
Me: Oh, is it?
Her (yelling): WELL, DIDN'T I JUST SAY THAT IT IS?

It's 8 am and this is the breakfast table, the day begins lol
Well he does have a cell phone! But you're right, maybe he only knows how to use it to yell at people
I am in charge of my grandmother this week, so we are watching her usual, NCIS, and on the screen one of the agents went off on her own and then called in and Gibbs was like, "Where are you!!" and I'm sorry, just like, no way this guy doesn't have Life360 on all of these agents at all times.
Yeah this is the first one I've seen all summer. Last summer was a nightmare and the city seemed to crack down but I guess the desire to wreak havoc is too strong with these sorts.
We get these roving bands of motorcyclists that periodically freak everybody out by en masse ignoring all traffic laws and every time I encounter one and get surrounded by armies of motorcycles I think, ... imagine KNOWING that many people????? My motorcycle gang would be six people lol
Omg why is that the dominant industry lol!
The "best" thing about generative AI and its environmental destructiveness is I now get to feel virtuous like I'm doing the planet a lot of good by choosing to write my own emails.
haha they are scary and dangerous!!
I find "it's like riding a bike" to be the silliest saying. Every time I have to ride a bike thirty years removed from my childhood, I am terrified and wobbly and get off immediately to avoid breaking a leg lol. Definitely not something that comes back to me easily.
I watch this show called Mysteries of the Abandoned. It's whatever. It doesn't require much thought, which is what I look for when winding down. What most fascinates me about it was how the historians interviewed all speak! So! Dramatically! Some better than others. I can't look away lol
Wrote a whole fic about a world where children are required to be genetically optimized to be "useful." It's a dystopia.
Apparently, Silicon Valley thinks eugenics is the only way to save humanity from AI-fueled extinction. They insist their eugenics isn't bad eugenics, because theirs involves parents choosing to screen and selectively implant embryos based on genetically predicted IQ. But choice is a slippery slope.
I reread Waiting for Godot for the first time since college and I'm just like quietly blown away in this way that snuck up on me through a deceptively easy read.
Why is there so much liquid in a bottle of Afrin Nasal Spray? I can only use it twice a day for three days max, and then I can't use it again with a different cold because of germ spread, so I'm always throwing out practically full bottles. Is that much volume needed for the spray mechanism to work?
I think that went a little over my head as a kid but as a grown-up every little tableau was like, yes, God, why is life like this! When the maitre d calls out "Cartwright" instead of "Costanza".... YES. EXACTLY.
Actually I was a kid when Seinfeld was on the first time around (well, in high school and college but that's a kid in my book) so watching the Chinese restaurant episode now as an actual grown-up I'm like, ...wow, this is such a perfect microcosm of what life feels like. Genius.
I started rewatching Seinfeld because with my cold that seemed the level I was at and I'm amazed how early classic episodes like the pony remark one and the Chinese restaurant one happened.
You know how people say pets are so empathetic, they can totally tell when you're not feeling well and need comfort?

My dog is not that pet lol
And this is how I know that all these tech dudebros who want to live forever have never done any elder care
