The same as I ever was: lots of writing, lots of complaining. But almost never complaining about writing.
The food Network has tons of talented chefs but I swear, watching the voltaggio brothers cook is something else entirely.

I was supposed to be self-publishing some stuff on Amazon and I found posting on there such a pain because it kept flagging my manuscript for...unknown reasons...and I'm like, I ACTUALLY WROTE THIS!!!! GO FLAG THE AI AND PLAGIARISM!!!!!
Amazon is making money off AI copies of books - and putting the onus on authors to prove they’ve been plagiarised.

Honestly, just stop buying books from Amazon. Get them from an actual bookshop or order them from a reputable book supplier like bookshop.org

Amazon Is the World's Biggest Online Book Marketplace. It's Filled With AI Knockoffs
Authors say Amazon's knockoff book problem is leaving them frustrated — and making the internet worse in the process.

Sometimes I'm just so amazed by this writing thing. Like, I'm 10,000 words into my Christmas fic and haven't introduced the love interest yet. The MC has interacted with lots of people but if I've done my job right, you just KNOW none of them are the love of his life.

It's been the kind of weather where I'm very much looking forward to 45 degrees tomorrow being a welcome warm break.

I am watching this show about New Orleans and reliving Katrina through this is so devastating, I'm just sitting weeping. And I got off so easy from Katrina. God.

Tonight I watched Merry Little Ex-mas and I thought it was genuinely funny and cute but I found Alicia Silverstone's performance sadly distracting. Every line reading seemed so tortured?

I think it's funny that I sometimes repeat names for major characters. Like, I have two 'verses with leads named Matt, and two with leads named Patrick. But until I do the Advent drabbles across my 'verses I never think of those characters having the same name. They're completely separate to me.

Doing Advent drabbles and having to remember, like, "in that particular universe, does Eames call him Arthur or exclusively darling?" "In that fantasy world, did I let them say the word okay?"

The best is when you get in a drabble writing groove and keep hitting a hundred words on the nose on your first try.

Maybe unpopular opinion but I consider rain in winter a waste lol. If it's going to be this cold and raw I should at least be getting some snow out of this!! (I just love snow)

I truly cannot wait until this six-seven thing is over.

Tonight's viewing was jingle bell heist and that was cute, I really enjoyed it.

I am watching Champagne Problems on Netflix and I'm like fifteen minutes in and so little about it makes any sense already. Like the dialogue is almost nonsensical. Was it written by AI?

One of the perks of a holiday like Thanksgiving in a cold climate is when the kitchen gets overheated you can throw all of the windows open to get cold brisk air bursting through.

Streaming services tend to product short seasons with long gaps in between. It makes a weird kind of sense that I started descending into Food Network shows, where the chef "characters" exist over a persistent span of time, unlike the way streaming services tend to stingily dole characters out.

Idk, guys, I guess it's a choice between ChatGPT and the sun now. It's a close one.
A 25-person startup is developing technology to block the sun and turn down the planet’s thermostat.

The stakes are huge — and the company and its critics say regulations need to catch up.

One of my podcasts has an ad for an AI friend for your kid. To "jump-start their imagination." Okay, no human imagination needs AI but you know who especially doesn't need it? KIDS. KIDS' WHOLE THING IS THEIR IMAGINATIONS. LEAVE THEM ALONE! LET THEM DO THEIR OWN IMAGINING!

My sister just said that she thinks her dog needs a dog beg (he has never had one before) and she asked me where I got my dogs bed and I said "Christmas tree shoppe" and honestly the loss of that store is still fresh

This headline makes me think of that Seinfeld episode where Kramer pretends to be the Moviefone computer

Ah, yes, "Charlotte's Web," the book where the spider writes "Take this pig away" in her web, right? Am I getting that right?

Sometimes I think I only read books so that I can enjoy the one-star reviews about them on Goodreads.

This T driver is making some kind of really long announcement but it's all static so none of us can understand him so...I guess we just all assume it's not very important lol
