I'm kind of annoyed that I didn't get approved to read the Arnold Lobel picture book biography coming out next week. But at least I can read it next week and we'll have four copies in the store.
I've only just started reading them and other Tove Jansson books this year.
I'm close to getting my first BINGO! What are some of your favorite #LGBTQ+ books would you recommend? thechroniclesofachildrensbookwriter.wordpress.com/2025/05/31/r...
From #TBR to #PTR... We all have #ToBeRead piles that just keep getting better but I've started picking out titles that I'm actually going to be reading or #PlanToRead. Some are part of my #ReadingChallenges and one (book or series) is for the #KidsAtHeart #BookClub.

What are you #currentlyreading? I've got to admit my attention span isn't what it used to be and I need to work on that.
Congratulations to Mac Barnett for being named the new National Ambassador for Young People's Literature! (Image by Christian Robinson)
The highlight of being a bookseller this week was getting to reunite a kid with her bunny stuffie. I noticed they had left it at the store. I'd overheard the mom saying they were going to the co-op next. After wandering down the wrong aisles, I found them and gave the girl her toy. #BooksellerLife
Who else is watching the #ala #yma?
My first read of 2025 is also my first #FilipinoReads of the year. It's the forthcoming #PictureBook New by @ninamataart.bsky.social and publishes May 6th! Enjoyable and joyous take on being the new kid in school- as well as being new in a new country- and overcoming all the challenges that entails.
Is it just me or does it seem like there's less books by Filipino authors coming out in 2025? I'd love to be wrong so please show me threads or give me links of these titles to #FilTheShelves!
