Trump is going to be putty in Mamdani's hands

Down's syndrome really fell off.

Ain’t readin’ that.

The USSR's birthrates also declined. IMO industrialism+ requires fewer inputs for it to hum at an equilibrium, so social reproductive forces no longer choose for fertility. Societies change the incentives regardless of ideology. It's a feature of modern human civilization; not really a "problem."

When I was an intern, @nicholsuprising.bsky.social pushed back when I countered that presidential candidates don’t need executive experience (my argument was that the office is sui generis, so, no). He said there shouldn’t even be a presidency. I now agree.

Executive office—not even once.

Yeah well people at the time said the same thing at the time about everyone on the right side of each chart. Every new generation is the least racist generation.
Those claiming Dems should retreat on racial justice aren't hard-headed realists, they're pushing against the electoral tide rather than leaning into it. The story of Gen Z isn't about racist backlash or red-pilled young men. It's the most racially progressive generation in American history. 🧵

For all the leftist, liberal and moderate conservative schadenfreude over Trump's current predicament in the face of the Epstein files, a loss of control among the older generation of MAGA bosses opens up the Republican Party to a full hostile takeover by its Fuentes faction
November 12, 2025 at 10:08 PM
Oh, you think Trump being in the Epstein files is going to sink him with his base? They simply won’t believe anything you show them.

My position was always that the trans-demic thing WAS a kind of social contagion (I use that word value-neutrally) that would eventually level off and get absorbed back into society like everything else and that people 1) didn’t need to panic over it and 2) shouldn’t try to exploit it.
I am taking particular pleasure in the complete collapse of trans-as-unbeatable-wedge-issue narrative this morning. It might be an 80-20 issue in voters minds, but it has to be on voters minds to matter. The results in VA demonstrate that it is very much not on voters minds.

We’re all on the computer all day; we should be embarrassed.

Now to sit back and watch as the right uses every evil tool at their to get Mamdani removed from office, deported, or killed. Possibly all three.

Logged in to post something like this and saw that Bill fuckin’ Kristol had beaten me to the punch. lmao
Just wrote an upbeat (!) Morning Shots.

I mean, if not today, when?

We should relish this moment. For a few hours. Because we should realize that these results are going to make the Trump administration even more aggressive about tilting the 2026 playing field, and we need to be ready for that.

There is going to be at least one horrible trick or treater tree branch death this evening in the city. These wind gusts are wild. Super not safe.

What did they think “heritage” was a reference to?
1. A watershed moment.

The President of the Heritage Foundation and Heritage Action, Kevin Roberts , has announced that the organization is standing by Tucker Carlson in the aftermath of Tucker’s interview with neo-Nazi Nick Fuentes.

This isn’t Kevin bending his knee to Trump…this is something new

Platner has to be some kind of plant. The facts don't add up. I don’t believe for a second that he—or anyone around him—failed to recognize that tattoo for what it was. Nazi iconography isn’t obscure in this country; it’s everywhere in our culture. It appears constantly in movies, DEEPLY in video..
