So while I noticed the pair a what could only be grizzlies board, all their bluster and gunshots dyin' at the sight of a lifeless deck, I didn't move to stop em and didn't care when I heard em stealin' what were left of value. Weren't even sure they were real, what with lack of sleep an proper eatin' blurrin' all my sense.
Didn't help none I were an afterthought to them and, despite passin' by me over and over with barrels on their shoulders, I likely wouldn't a been any thought were it not for the singin'.
Dreary poems were a hobby of mine, to write and sometimes sing, and I'd brought the men to tears more than once when mournin' a lost soul or just... havin' one a them days what refuses to color right. They took to callin' me the bard after a time, and bard's what I embodied as pirates hauled the last of our fresh water off the side.
Water I ain't touched and so wouldn't miss, but I missed my men so I was singin' a might too loud. Breakin' into a song for all those I'd let die, flowerin' it a pinch for the one I missed more.
I don't think the kuva thing in #Warframe should be allowed to steal my floofs. I just...it's an event floof. I did the mission for the floof and she took it.

My floof. T^T
Cover made, still need to get someone else to read it and tell me if it works and then I will edit and release this thing.

Hopefully in time for Halloween. I was going to do a home print run and put stories into the neighborhood libraries again but I think this one may be a bit too long for that...
Cover is...done?

Submitting to publications is a special level of Hell I'd like to not be part of anymore.

Please buy my stories so I can stop waiting months just to get an e-mail that says some variation of, "we like this, unfortunately, it's not a good fit for our publication."

I'm ready to gouge out my eyes.
Maybe it wants to be friends. You should go say hi.

You better believe we’re releasing 31 episodes in 31 days this month. We’re doing it because a giant man scooped out our brains w/ a spoon and let the remaining juices drip into a live microphone.

This is one of those episodes.

It’s,

Little over 10k in #BeneaththeBrine but it has been revised. Not sure what else to do with it so I'm calling it, have already formatted it, and will give it a typo pass before finishing the cover.

But she be done. I think. I hope. Maybe. I'm never really sure.
I agree entirely. I have one that I feel is essential to show the sheer level of obsession someone has for another. Only one I've ever written but one of my favorite scenes in the book.

I should clarify; there *exists* a historic mansion within walking distance of my not at all historic house.
Don't give me ideas. We have an historic mansion within walking distance. I could make a scene.
It is cold and cloudy out and I need to be out there.

I need to find some fog and get lost for a while.
The main character doesn't have to be likeable, relatable, or even interesting for the story they're in to be.
Tell me your most unhinged literary opinion, as a little treat
#Beliegered today and totally normal purging of ghouls. Nothing weird here at all.
#WIPSnips
They wouldn't need the signals, wouldn't need to move...
Ghouls broke from the mist before any could.
Fire and iron, Ansul reminded himself, fingers quick to fetch his fire, hand quicker with his iron while his knights did the same.
They were ready, eager... and ultimately disappointed.
Slow things those ghouls, breaking through at hardly a jog. Gnashing teeth and swiping claws were simple to dodge, slap away, and their heads came too easily free with clean swings. No mages among their number either, all were hapless corpses who clawed their way out of graves dug too shallow in search of meat to sate the endless void swelling inside them.
At an agonizing pace.
Fire and iron.
Remove heads, burn bodies, perform proper rites over the ashes.
It took all evening for the number, hours more for burials of victims, but Ansul’s men managed it all without so much as a scratch to show for it. No bites either, threatening to curse them to similar fates.
All terribly common, simple. Until the knights began their search for survivors and Ansul struggled with their methods, with the manner in which they handled each frightened and weeping peasant hiding in cupboards or cellars. Each were shoved roughly into the wagon, one by sullen one—ten in total, by his count—and instead of tending their wounds or offering water or rations his men shackled them to thick bars set into thinner walls.
"These are refugees," he argued as his knights secured the last. "Our King is offering them sanctuary and you treat them as prisoners?"
Those eyes. All five sets from all five knights narrowed at him. Too pale, too bright against the blood reds of their plate. Brows of every hue wrinkled through the opening of their helmets, utterly confused as if he were speaking a foreign tongue—he was, of course, but they'd been understanding so far.
"This is how it's done, sir ," said his eldest knight, in too firm a tone to his Commander.
Whoever bought #InFog, you're my first sale of the month and I loves you to pieces.

Enjoy your obsessively possessive nonbinary monsters.
I'm never quite sure what I'm doing with covers, but they always seem to work out...so I guess I will continue to flail and hope it looks like dancing.
I promised a child I would sleep after I sketched this thing, and I sketched the thing. So I go sleep now. But I has a cover design for #BeneaththeBrine maybe?
