Netflix unveiled a first look at their upcoming 2026 animated film Steps which will be a twist on Cinderella from the stepsisters' point of view. Even if I haven't been impressed by the animated films produced by Netflix as of late, this does sound cute at least. Guess we'll see.

The Modern NickToons Unite!

In celebration the 20th anniversary of NickToons Unite! this October, I commissioned this tribute to the game's box art starring the next generation of NickToons from the most talented artist I'm mutuals with, NoParking Berry!
The iconic cover art for NickToons Unite! - but with Lincoln Loud from The Loud House, Annie and Pony Bramley from It’s Pony, Parker J. Cloud from Middlemost Post, and Miko Kubota from Glitch Techs in the places of SpongeBob SquarePants from the show of the same name, Jimmy Neutron from The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius, Timmy Turner from The Fairly OddParents, and Danny Fenton from Danny Phantom, respectively. Lincoln is carrying his David Steele laser gun in the place of SpongeBob’s karate glove, Miko has her purple battle hammer in the air instead of a fist like Danny had up there, Parker is both smiling warmly instead of smirking and carrying no gun to contrast from Timmy, and Annie and Pony (the former riding the latter, thus creating an Ice Climbers-like character roster choice) have their eyes facing forwards - the former smiling and the latter nervously frowning - instead of to the right (left from our point of view) like Jimmy and also have no guns like he did. However, beyond those fitting adjustments, the way these NickToon stars are posed here match how the older NickToon stars appeared in the piece of art that this commission I paid NoParking Berry to draw is an elaborate reference to, complete with the same electrifying (literally!) background aesthetic. Speaking of whom, Berry has stylish signature on the bottom left corner of this art piece - right below Parker, to be more exact. The rough draft of the NickToons Unite! tribute piece that I paid Berry to draw for me - featuring the same elements as before, but with red outlines, no color in between those lines, and a “©️D.J. Berry” watermark slapped onto the center of the art piece instead of Berry’s signature.

Gotta blast!

Flying high and flying fast, I’m dressed up as Nickelodeon’s iconic boy genius for Halloween this year! Getting this outfit marks my first time actually wearing a costume on Spooky Day in six years.
My costume of Jimmy Neutron from The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron - placed onto my bed. It consists of a wig of Jimmy’s signature chocolate ice cream swirl hair (which was still factory-sealed at the time this photo of it was taken), and Jimmy’s legendary neutron particle shirt. My new Jimmy Neutron Halloween costume was purchased with a tag on the t-shirt featuring Nickelodeon’s 2009 logo, the Jimmy Neutron logo, and the famous stock art of Jimmy boasting a wicked pose while riding his jetpack. They are placed in front of a light blue background with even lighter blue electrons. An orange banner can be seen at the bottom, with Jimmy’s flying pose covering part of the right side. The back of the tag originally attached to the t-shirt from my new Jimmy Neutron Halloween costume confirms said costume really is brand new, as it contains a 2025 copyright date and the Splat Zone era Nickelodeon logo at the very bottom - below other logos and specifications. (My photos of the tag were also taken on my bed, in case you were wondering.) Voila! I’m all dressed up and ready to go for a supernatural Blitzkrieg Bop - no rocket science required. It’s too cold to wear shorts like Jimmy does, but I do have some sweatpants in the same color (dark blue) as his short pants. Now, it’s time for me to head out home and have some spirited fun.

With their show's 10th anniversary being the same year as the 70th anniversary of The Muppets, it’s time to give a round of applause to a girl and bear who are surprisingly well-accepted everywhere: Chloe Park and her amazing dancing bear!
Chloe Park from We Bare Bears introducing an interpretive dance done by her favorite of the titular bears - Ice Bear - while holding an orange cane with a black top and wearing a black-collared red circus vest, a white undershirt, and a black top hat. Ice Bear is also wearing some performance-friendly attire, namely his light brown vest with a dark brown lifeline pattern at the bottom. The two of them are on a theater stage in front of a red booth with twirling yellow stripes and below a header with glowing lights (top), a yellow spotlight (center left), and a red spotlight (center right). In other words, Chloe and Ice Bear are in the roles of Scooter and Fozzie Bear, respectively, during one of The Muppet Show's most famous musical numbers - "Simon Smith and His Amazing Dancing Bear". However, unlike Scooter, Chloe has no fake mustache on because she doesn't feel comfortable wearing one. She also doesn't have Ice Bear chained up during his dancing number like Scooter had Fozzie during his, because no way would she be so cruel to animals, especially not the animal she receives irreplaceable comfort from (besides, with the strength and ninja skills he possesses, Ice Bear would break himself out of being chained anyways). Berry's signature is of course also present. This time around, it is written in white text on the bottom right corner of the featured commission I paid him to draw.
