OK... As a Gex fan since 2005, I gotta ask. Why is the idea of making Gex trans fem so dang popular here on Bluesky (and presumably Twitter)? Am I an uncultured swine for not understanding?

What are people's opinions on Voidpets? I've gotten some ads for the Voidpet Dungeon mobile game, and it looks cute and interesting to me. The idea of these creatures is fascinating, too. Thinking about giving it a try someday after enjoying the Aethermancer demo.

おこす - to fall ill with (one of many meanings)

Japanese: "体の大部分は消化袋になっていて、つるでつかまえた敵を消化してしまうモンスター。睡眠のステータス異常をおこすガスでも攻撃してくる"

English: "Its body is mostly a digestive bag. Digests enemies by catching them with its vine. Uses a gas attack that causes Sleep."

By the way, as for where Elvoret may have come from… Since it’s one of only two non-superboss… bosses not in the final dungeon to die in a spectacular explosion (aside from X-ATM092), could it have crept out of that final dungeon? I’ve always wondered if it involved a… time leak or something.

Elvoret’s Japanese name is a little clearer that this comes from “aile violette”, meaning “violet wing” in French. There is another enemy much later in the game, Elnoyle, whose Japanese name comes from “aile noire”, which is “black wing” in French. The wings of each enemy match with their names.
