POV: Sherman just finished his March to the Sea but still isn’t satisfied
It’s a good time to remind everyone that the rightwing takeover of America these last 30+ years has been moving toward calling a constitutional convention. It’s the end game of the American right - an America completely reshaped from the ground up, built in their own image.
Trump on 2028: "They say I'm not allowed to run. I don't know what the hell that's all about. He said, 'Four more years.' You see the new hat? We have four more years -- 2028."

I don’t think Benny is gay, but he feels VERY out of place in MAGA’s focus on hypermasculinity. He’s just very goofy and immature. Not just emotionally immature like most MAGA men, but his personality in general.

All his interactions seem like he’s so excited the Big Boys are including him.
"Benny Johnson, very prominent right wing podcaster. He's been dogged for years by accusations, that I would say are unfounded, that he's gay."

"Unfounded? Maybe you could say 'disputed.'"

@willsommer.bsky.social, @timmiller.bsky.social, and @samsteindc.bsky.social talk the Benny-Milo feud:

Plot twist: his live-in nanny’s name is ChatGPT
Jimmy Fallon: "And do you use ChatGPT when raising your baby?"

Sam Altman: "I cannot imagine figuring out how to raise a newborn without ChatGPT."

The entire consumer-facing ethos of America has shifted from “build a good product with good service with good prices and you’ll be competitive” to a more cynical “how much can we screw our customers while they still buy our products?”

Scam-based economy
Same product. Same store. Same time. But on Instacart, different customers may see different prices.
My story on a fascinating new experiment from @groundwork.bsky.social & @consumerreports.org and how the idea of a single price is breaking down in the digital age:

Look, it’s real simple. If these “narco terrorists” are so organized, dangerous, and bad that we need to send the most advanced naval vessels in our arsenal to stop them…

…I think they’d just find a different route?

It doesn’t make sense because they’re not smugglers. They’re fishermen.
The Sept. 2nd strike on an alleged drug boat is under new scrutiny after details of Admiral Bradley's closed-door testimony to lawmakers have been revealed. MS NOW's Mychael Schnell reports on the latest developments.

Prediction: The Trump family is going to own CNN. The regime won’t approve Netflix’s deal and Trump will publicly threaten and bully Netflix until the CEO capitulates and shows up to the Oval Office to give him a golden Demogorgan from Stranger Things.

We are a mafia state.

Surely doing your best megachurch youth pastor impression will fire up the Youths to do some racism.
Brilyn Hollyhand is trying to walk in Charlie Kirk’s footsteps.

But something Charlie was smart enough not to do: post himself traveling in a private jet unless it was that of a campaign he was supporting.

Pro tip: use Firefox as your browser and read all article content in their reading mode.

Not only does it disable some of the JavaScript that triggers all the extra garbage, but it has great accessibility features. It’s a superior reading experience.

Ben Shapiro has never had a real job.

Just like Charlie Kirk, Matt Walsh, Steven Crowder, etc.

The Daytime Talk Show Hosts for Men are telling you they’re producing lions and you, an exploited worker trying to make ends meet, are a parasite.

A pro-life Dem will almost always lose to a pro-life Republican in red states.

Moderated GOP voters won’t vote for the Dem and Dem voter enthusiasm and turnout drops.

Just stick to principles and uncompromisingly campaign on them.
I genuinely cannot believe that Ezra Klein said we should run pro-life candidates in Kansas, Ohio, and Missouri; three states that recently held abortion referendums where the pro-choice side won!

I felt like a crazy person when everyone wanted him to be her VP pick. I didn’t understand the appeal. Dude just gives off the worst vibes.
boy Josh Shapiro, man...

I think well-written media that inspires hope and resistance in the face of tyranny while maintaining mass appeal is good.

The odd thing about this moment is that there is a clear movement that’s waiting for leadership and structure, and the traditional leaders of such movements seem uninterested in paying any attention to it.

The Democratic party itself seems to grow more defunct as the days go on.
Democrats are simply choosing to not participate in the political life or trajectory of this country at the time of its greatest political crisis since the Civil War. They've found some policy trivialities to occupy themselves with and they're trying very hard to look busy

I wasn’t allowed to watch Mr. Rogers as a kid because he once said “she” in reference to God.

I missed every Disney movie from the Lion King to Finding Nemo because Disney Land allowed a private pride event.

Their entire thing has been cancelling people and organizations.

That’s the culture war.
Just a reminder: they were never actually against cancel culture. They were against the cancellation of people they agree with or like. They’ve always been enthusiastically in favor cancelling people they don’t like. If you took them at their word you’re a useful idiot.
Rand Paul: "People say, 'Oh, people have a right to say things.' Well, actually they don't necessarily have a right to say things. Many people have in their contract what we call a morals clause ... I think it is time for this to be a crackdown on people."

*sits down in backwards chair*

You know who else was a man of faith who died for his beliefs?

That’s right: Osama Bin Laden.
Jamie Lee Curtis disagreed with everything Charlie Kirk said but cried at his death as she says he was "a man of faith"!!!!!
Why does being a "person of faith" get someone off the hook of being a person with vile views?

We are nosediving into authoritarianism. Before the 2026 midterms we will see the detention of Democratic candidates and politicians at every level.

Folks, when we say they are fascists, it’s not rhetoric. They will continue to escalate until we are terrified to dissent.
They are trying to make it illegal to be liberal in America, because they hate free speech, hate the Constitution, and are a bunch of authoritarian scumbags

They’re really leaning into this homeland stuff, huh? I guess Fatherland would’ve been too obvious.

This is unbelievably cringe, but it shows that:

1) The cultural melting pot is still going strong despite their attempts to dismantle it.

2) It’s all a performance to these guys. No beliefs. No principles. Just whatever sounds “based” and owns the libs.
Kash Patel: "To my friend Charlie Kirk. Rest now, brother. We have the watch. And I'll see you at Valhalla"
