Back in August, my ex emailed me a lengthy apology letter. They unfortunately caught me when I was at my weakest; I was unmedicated, having a mental breakdown. I was not of fully sound mind. It was just terribly poor timing, and I did email back. (1/5)

I know my mental illnesses (both diagnosed/medicated and potentially undiagnosed/unmedicated) doesn't *excuse* things, but I hope it offers some kind of *explanation*.
I just hope that people offer me some kinda grace and dignity as I learn to navigate my life with my illnesses.

Further update: my GP suspects that I may have been either misdiagnosed, or I have been living with unmedicated bipolar, explaining the manic (and destructive) episodes I've experienced in my life.
Update:
My gp has been texting/emailing me back and forth (it's now it's done) and it looks like they wanna get me in for a meds and diagnosis review. They think the mania is being caused by something else on top of the depression, anxiety, & PTSD. Yay.
