Syllabi at public institutions probably ought to be public. Taxpayers fund the work, and students deserve transparency. The problem is when the loudest megaphones with the deepest pockets (and often the least expertise) get to judge that plan. Thats just anti-intellectualism.

It’s striking how the world’s harshness has followed us into the college classroom. I see young faculty and grad instructors lose their jobs after a single misstep…when these moments should still be part of their development. Surprised anyone even wants to join this profession now. #HumanTogether

Can someone please explain this to me? Last night it was 7° here. I left two half-consumed bottles of soda outside in my car. This morning I found the Diet Coke was frozen solid. The Diet Pepsi didn’t have a single ice crystal. WTH?

In conversations with professor colleagues about AI and writing, I’m struck by how the debate stays stuck on banning vs allowing. That framing is already obsolete. The essential skill now is human oversight: knowing when to use it, how to interrogate it, and owning the outcome.
