The Republican Congress has put the President in an untenable situation. He doesn't want to reveal the Epstein files and yet his only exoneration(if you can call it that) is to have everyone be able to see them. Damned if he does, damned if he doesn't. I have said "damn him!"enough its working.

Imagine you were the President. Would you behave as he does? Of course not, and not because you don't have the guts or the nerve to. You have moral grounding in your personality and Trump does not.

I read an account of how Charlie Kirk rose to power. He was, it related, bank-rolled by radical right rich guys and his father. It made me wonder if anyone has coined the term "nepo-fascist?" That said, I condemn shooting ANYONE because of their political beliefs.

The price we must pay for the 2nd Amendment is the lives of children. I know it seems harsh but think of all the men and women with mental or emotional problems expressing their best lives. Who cares about children when that hangs in the balance? What do you mean "A Well-ordered Militia..."

I hate a lot about putting the armed military on American streets. I worry there will be an "accidental" firearm discharge injuring or killing a citizen. Remember all that's has been done to use the 2nd Amendment to arm every whacko ever? That's how a shooting war in our streets starts.

The annual interest on the national debt is around $952 billion. It is not going away. The big beautiful bill will add $120 billion to that number. And federal debt gets paid before money for any other purpose. Our grandchildren are going to hate us for tax breaks for the wealthy.

Parades: Bands playing Sousa Marches, Floats, Baton Twirlers, Service Clubs handing out candy to kids, Scout Troops sort of marching, a few folks on horseback, Flags, of course, all kinds. You will notice there is no place for the Abrams A-1 tank. Just doesn't belong.

I can't help but imagine that this weekend's BIG military parade--something that under ANY other President would be dignified and celebratory--is going to be potentially dangerous and/or violent simply because a whacko is President. How far from GREAT he has made us.

I am not the first to notice that everything Donald Trump touches is wrong, diminished, crooked or ruined. It's a feature, not a bug. That said, I still cringe when he works his will on things like Memorial Day.

James Comey made a blunder when he posted the picture of seashells formed to say 86 47 because it could be seen as a call for violence. Keeping in mind that the 25th Amendment can be used to remove a President, how about this?

Is there a rainbow hiding behind Trump's destruction of the US science performing capability? I mean, more than dollars saved for tax cuts for billionaires? Well, the aged, sick and infirm will all die more quickly so they will be less of a burden. Kind of an anti-science eugenics. Ghastly.

Now that Congress has passed the SAVE Act, all you married women better go dig up your passports if you took your husband's name. You will need a passport or some other document to prove you are not an illegal alien trying to vote. Yes, this is a hassle brought to you by whacked out Republicans.

Every high school debater learns a simple concept in argument:"assertion is not evidence." Just because you say it doesn't make it so. Apparently all the MAGA folks never were high school debaters. Whatever Trump says, they accept as Gospel truth. Without any evidence. No pushback.

I can't help but think the reaction of most of Americans to the threat of a recession is to simply stop spending. When the corporations that gave Trump their full-throated support see their quarterlies tank, you will see true voter remorse.
