I'm looking for a pseudonym, for a purpose I can't reveal. I'm thinking: Atila Bau. Much cooler than my regular name.
Planted olive trees today in Betlehem, the Occupied West Bank, to support the Palestinian farmers and in solidarity with the communities who suffer constant attacks by settlers and the IDF.

The Third Policeman is one of the best books ever
Planting olive trees in Bethlehem in solidarity with our friends in Palestine.💜💜
Huge thanks to the JJ Society of NY, Sam Slote @samslote.bsky.social and Jonathan Goldman @jonnysemicolon.bsky.social , and for everyone who joined. It was a blast!

For those who missed it, at least you were spared my squeaky voice, made even more unbearable by technology.

The cultural event of the season!
Dearest Susie, thanks so much! Looking forward to meeting virtually on Tuesday ❤️
This morning in Nablus, the Occupied West Bank, we stood in solidarity with Palestinian farmers, planting olive trees—a symbol of resilience and deep-rooted connection to the land. Suffering violence by criminal settlers, their endurance is a reminder of the urgent need for justice and solidarity.
My book, Guilt and Finnegans Wake, is officially out today with Florida Press. We're having an online launch with @joycesociety.bsky.social on March 4, at 12 pm EST. I wrote a poem to entice you to attend. Maybe you already read it on Facebook. Here it is now:
Thanks! Much appreciated
A question to my Joycean/Modernist colleagues: when H.G. Wells say that "Like Swift and another living Irish writer, Mr. Joyce has a cloacal obsession", who is the other "living Irish writer"? Apologies if the answer is obvious and I am exposing my ignorance.

Guilt, Glory, and Guinness: A Poem

Guilt lingers, thick as foam.
Glory flares, too bright to hold.

Guinness swirls, velvet-smooth,
a liquid hug, the soul to soothe.

Three Gs - two in the book,
one in the glass I took.
@drtaliaabu.bsky.social 's Guilt and Finnegans Wake has just arrived!

In Ramallah, the Occupied West Bank, planting trees in solidarity with the Palestinian communities.

Criminal settlers uprooted all the trees we planted. How sad, how evil. Now on my way to Ramallah to plant more trees in solidarity with the Palestinian farmers.

I joined Rabbis for Human Rights in the Occupied West Bank to help the Palestinian communities plant olive trees. Criminal Jewish settlers often uproot trees to hurt the Palestinian fatmers' livelihood. So we come to show solidarity and help with whatever we can.

Thanks so much Paul! Hoping to see you in Straban!
