ii) Parent asks, "Do you celebrate Reformation Month?" Never even heard of it before today - sounds fearsomely, even vehemently Protestant to me. Certainly not something for an all-university month!

After a couple of slightly down days, not helped by constant overcast, let the record show that encounters this morning in my usual haunt (however individually brief) are delightful reminders that all's well, & that my role (& I myself) is valued. Which is good. (Now, someone shut down that music!)

#GoodEvening, for the Sun has set on Isengard & the lamps are lit. Soon I shall head to the galley (though no slave an I) to sort supper for late-arriving wife. Not an exciting post, I know, but honest & homely after a fair enough day. RPG/writing inspiration would be nice, but it's not a problem.

#GoodMorning folks. Unexpectedly alone today, which opens up opportunities (for both things wanted & needed), including solo breakfast out (with #coffee, of course), now complete. Weather stays mild, leaves continue to fall; irregular brown hued patterns on asphalt and paving offset by bonus magpie.

An empty parking space. Behind it, a rubbish bin, the green paint flaking off to reveal red (that shade once used by Little Chef). Behind the bin stands a lamppost, upon which a sign remind Buddies' customers to register for free parking. A hedge is further behind, thinning with autumn, it's leaves on asphalt & block paving. To the left of shot, a magpie strolls in, magisterially. In the foreground, a red car bonnet.

To be fair, most of that which couldn't be called good was no worse than neutral. I do seem to have been lax on social media & felt the need to say at least something!

#GoodAfternoon all. I appear to be on a train, shortly to depart for a capital location, let the reader understand! The loud, garrulous, incomprehensible & good-natured chaps in the carriage add a degree of levity. Even the Sun's come out to join us!

(1/2) I'm very aware that any posts of late have been pertaining to work, even without the essential mention of the hot, black, magic bean juice that is #coffee! No prose poems of sunlit cloudburst, nor burbling about birdsong (nor even incomprehensible intonations or #RPGs.)

Final engagement today is Fr. Andrew's farewell Mass, a colleague who's been RC Chaplain at university since before I arrived 18 years ago. It's been awhile since I entered the parallel universe that is a Roman Catholic service...

University is buzzing today, not with welcome activities but with new students seeking rooms (usually in the wrong building when they ask!) & returning students catching up before sessions. Caffeinated, I now need hasten to the Development Hub to run my Pop-Up Coffee Stop. Onwards!
