Hi, the repo for the TCD1304 with linear response is recently updated and now pretty much complete. There will be one more addition on "carry over", and then that's it.

For any CCD spectrometer you see anywhere, if they have not posted a fluorescent light specrum, dont touch it.

And if they did post the spectrum, take a look at the strong sharp lines.

If the ratios of heights in nearby peaks is off, then assume that the instrument has an electrical problem.

I happen to be an instrumentation physicist, I decided enough is enough and invested some effort and post one that really works.

I mean the dozens of designs posted on internet using linear CCD sensors for specftrometers, are all not viable.

The data they generate is not reproducible.

There is a huge difference between getting a signal and getting a spectrum that is reproducible.

No, it was a stunning failure of basic academic standards.

Taking a position, in public no less, based on biased, unvetted and in some instances debunked data, *should* be grounds for termination for faculty.

That students do it en masse, with faculty support, all the more so.

And they are, obviously.
