Was recommended the "Diary of a CEO" podcast. While I have no idea whether it's good or not, Lisa Feldman Barrett's predictive brain episode (sorta) started with "... cultural inheritance? Well, there's this old view, the Modern Synthesis. Very few people believe in it now." So yay! Good podcast!

Günter Wagner started the symposium talking about Riedl & the importance of "an intimate feel of the organism" for theory and philbio... and (to me) the golden period of evolution I was raised on by my mentors: the beginning of critical reflections on Darwinism in the 70s and 80s.

Really nice to be here at a special Austro-Philippine society event, esp by the invitation of Camilo Antonio, to hear Maximilian Larena (Uppsala) talk about the pop gen of the Filipino people. I'm particularly interested in hearing more about the "out of Taiwan" hypothesis!
