From friend who is an immigrant to Britain:

"When government say crackdown on immigrants, they mean crap down on immigrants!".

To me, his phrase sounds like classic British humour. A Barry Cryer line, or from Michael McIntyre, Harry Hill, Jack Dee.

SoI hope he can be considered to be integrated!

This excellent piece from @jamesbowes01.bsky.social explains why immigration has fallen and why it will likely fall much further..

#Cloudflare Ya GOTTA love the understatement vibe of the phrase "potentially impacts multiple customers".

Either @bsky.app depends on @cloudflare.social too, or it's getting massive spike due to people switching from X to talk about Cloudflare being down.

Happening today: Cloudflare outage.

As a result I can't read the latest news about the Cloudflare director selling $3m of Cloudflare stock because the news site depends on Cloudflare.

Cloudflare is up & down like a Donnie on a Bubba.

Another Cloudflare outage - now we'll see how many massive super rich company sites aren't as independent as they'd have you believe.

A worldwide, gigantic ecosystem with a ridiculous level of dependence on a few specific 3rd party services.

If you're over at "the other place" you'll have encountered a west London photographer who..
following his 'success' in convincing nationalists that all Whitechapel Tube signage is in Bengali..
is now claiming London is empty at nights (due to a back street cab route)

but then this was him in 2020:

And not enough is made of how he treated his neighbours, cutting their water off, building hoardings so they lost their views. intimidate them to sell up.
But his lies and disregard for anything of value in planning go back to the Bonwit Teller building.

I wonder what Trump would make of Radio 4's The Naked Week? It satirised the news of his legal theeat by editing together clips to make him say awful things, to huge studio applause.
To knit together two stories: through intimidation, litigation & extortion, Trump is clearly trying to create a media ecosystem where nobody asks him about Epstein - or indeed anything discomfiting. It is appalling to see so many UK media individuals & institutions aiding & abetting his corruption.

Large SUVs are a danger to pedestrians, cyclists & other drivers.

It's time to take action to reduce their presence in urban areas.

My favourite bit from this morning's @mrjamesob.bsky.social show..
I had to clip it out because it demonstrates so simply why Starmer can't cut it even for those who were Labour fans a year ago.

bsky.app/profile/drew...
Here's an example of one Labour voter explaining from the heart why Starmer isn't cutting it.
I wonder if it might be this simple?

Authenticity, openness and having a solid personal position that ISN'T determined for you by a comms team is the way forward.

It makes it way easier to face scrutiny🔊

X is the worst I have seen it.

Out & out racism all over it..

with calls for "N......s", "descendents of immigrants" and "anyone who isn't proper white" to be deported/"remigrated" because of the actions of 2 people with a certain skin colour.

And of course Musk welcomes and promotes those posts.
