I am not speaking in defense of this, because I was also once a college prof, and OH MY GODS. But I will say that the modern Apple/Mac OS is so "user-friendly" that it makes sense if you search things, and then not at all if you want to know how the damn thing functions or where things are.

I grew up watching Red Dwarf on TV and got the impression Smeg was a common swear word in Britain. Felt like a smeghead when I found out it was just because the F word was banned on telly.
