My contribution to this year’s @marchcaprice.com event was Forze Dell’Oscurità from Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep except it’s orchestral metal?

Featuring @roninopf.bsky.social on lead violin 🎻!
I did manage to extract all the data from it, so I lost nothing but time this weekend, but it is very frustrating to go through these sorta things mid-project.

Thankfully, commission work had been taken care of and deadlines met, but could've been a close call!
Had a complete computer failure this weekend where apparently it was my Mac Studio's final shut down.

I have Apple Care, so I took it in and they've told me they have no idea what happened by apparently something died in either the display I/O chip or the Logic Board.

This is literally everyone in the vgm scene passing the same $30 to each other at MAGfest every year for merch, except no one is doing a cool cover of Armored Armadillo and also the economy is collapsing
AI companies are spending billions on deals with each other, which boost their value.

This has helped twenty billionaires tied to AI add $450B to their fortunes in 2025.

Meanwhile, an MIT study found that 95% of companies using AI haven't seen returns on investment.

Be warned.
Only because I’d use it to smash everyone stupid enough to get in my way. 😤
It’s mail day @gamegrooves.com!

Today we’re shipping out @ropanuganti.com’s brand new The Ocean - a Wind Waker Prog Metal adventure. 🤘🔥
Oooh is this one from a previous year? I saw the one I grabbed in store and immediately was like 'I need this.' lmao.
So far I’m at 4/6 complete - with only 4 & 5 left to go, arguably the hardest as they’re practically the exact same track.

Leaning into the respective OST for each one to find ways to make em unique is the fun part, but it can be challenging!
It’s not a secret I’ve been working on a Battle Network EP for a while, part of why I’m taking so long is trying to find ways to make the individual covers great; but also celebrate the series as a whole.
The hardest part about arranging 6 songs that are very similar, is taking the time to try and find ways to make each one sound like its own individual experience.
Hell yeah, looking forward to seeing you guys live!
Hard to do with the kiddos tbh, not a terrible idea but also need a generator or something to keep camera powered cuz I am very not efficient. 🤣
Thinking about shooting videos for covers again but it’s hard to motivate myself cuz 1) I’m lazy and 2) the views/exposure to effort ratio is low as fuck.
New addition to my desk today. 🍒🌸

Wifey and I put together a cover of Hoshi no Arika (The Whereabouts of Light) sponsored by Falcom & co. Arrangement, Mix & Mastered by yours truly, incl the opportunity to bust out my nylon for some lead work.

We are literally swimming in potential, left and right in this community.

And as someone who got to perform on that stage with an unproven act, I understand full well the risk involved in shying away from heavy hitters, fan faves, and choosing not to play safe.

We can be better.
Making changes in policy on the fly like this just sort of sends the message that those in charge of these decisions simply don’t respect our intelligence as a community.

It’s a very slippery slope. It’s no secret that the music industry thrives on Nepotism, but we have the means to be different.
I really enjoy & respect Bit Brigade as an act, I’ve shared the stage with them, chatted with the band members and had a great time. They do something really interesting and unique in our space.

But policy exists for a reason; and changing policy on a whim is not a good look for the crew.

I don’t think anybody should be announcing DLC and planning on taking money for a product that hasn’t actually launched in its most basic form yet on a fundamental level.

I buy at least one of every game in a pokemon generation but this just screams to a level of corpo that they hadn’t hit yet.
I mean, I think both suck personally. Season Pass based DLC is the standard but games also used to feel a lot fuller in general.

I would much rather spend more time waiting for a game to be more complete than get a portion of their idea upfront and have to pay for the rest later.
Not sure how long I’m restricted for, but whatever. If you need me you know where to find me, and if you don’t then you don’t need me. 🤙🏻
Lmao some spineless cunt reported me on discord for chatting in a declared chat that’s inherently for mature discussion, locked behind age verification, without saying a word as part of the conversation.

I’m not a silent mfer, I will speak my mind, fuck your feelings.
Holy shit! Were you running on an empty stomach or something? Low blood sugar or something even temporarily could cause a small fainting episode that wouldn’t typically happen.

Glad you’re OK though, nasty bruise but at least you look metal af? 🤘🏻
No doubt, if I was touring and playing live regularly locally I’d definitely be using it a lot more for sure.

Have you seen that one band that does their rehearsals all in IEMs? 🤣
