I actually quite like how this game plays. It's quite a fun addition to the Mario Kart series.

Mario Kart World Grand Prix select screen. Each cup has a gold ranking but different amounts of stars. 2 stars in Mushroom Cup, 2 stars in Flower Cup, 3 stars in Star Cup, 3 stars in Shell Cup, 1 star in Banana Cup, 0 stars in Leaf Cup, 3 stars in Lightning Cup, and 0 stars in Special Cup.

Each rally has a gold ranking but different amounts of stars. 3 stars in Golden Rally, 3 stars in Ice Rally, 2 stars in Moon Rally, 2 stars in Spiny Rally, 2 stars in Cherry Rally, 3 stars in Acorn Rally, 3 stars in Cloud Rally, and 2 stars in Heart Rally.
