Book haul of the day

It was very nice. I found 3 of the best books ever with Solenoid, Septology and Infinite Jest in my native language

I remember thinking that the characters in "Casablanca" movie were so brave and cool. And it made me wonder if such moral courage (or manliness) was common in the time of Second World War. But @pangurban.bsky.social told me it was just something people idolized and aspired to. It reminds me of

Also I could benefit from rereading Albert Camus' works, I last read him when I was still at university (if you don't count reading the monograph on him and his biography). I don't really reread books, but I could start. I'm still able to read about 20 books a year, which is

I asked my mom if she has heard about Jacques Brel and she had! She said he was known for his literary songs and that Polish singers had covered him.

Instagram Albert Camus convinces me that literal meaning of life is whatever I'm doing that prevents me from killing myself. (and I like it a lot)

I knew that the meaning of life is watching and discussing cute anime girls on social media with oomfies and reading Camus' Notebooks.

Man, Jacques Brel's voice got better, lower, as he aged and he got more handsome too. Lucky. I like his cigarette aesthetics, he reminds me of Camus. I just favorited a bunch of his songs, after listening to him more. ^^

Accomplished Hasunosora's stamp rally version 4 titled as Hasunosora Fantasy at Ishikawa Prefectural Library (石川県立図書館) yesterday. Bibliophiles can spend a whole day here thanks to the attached cafeteria serving perfect lunch dinner to fuel them, and I'm not the exception. I love it here.

Btw getting a Munch's "Scream" reproduction in the middle of the room actually sounds nice, relatable and expressive. ^^ And some anime posters! Too bad that in my house it would look bad next to yellow wallpapers (like in the book!). I wonder if I'll ever be able to do something

I looked up X again a bit. So addictive. 😅 I like the fun and animeposting there, all the frens. But I like how BlueSky is Musk-free. I think I will keep both of these platforms and accounts and switch and post between them. Maybe in the meantime Musk will lose his power or some tech revolution will

Btw just imagine reading the Derrida on theology books on Christmas. I love them. 🥰

I'm listening to "Jesus Christ Superstar" songs in time for Christmas. ☺️ I have quite a few Christian books and content. ^^

A Girardian quote from Kierkegaard, as noted by Camus: "A source of all our plights is comparison".

@charlieyuki.bsky.social Thank you for liking my posts Charlie! It's so nice to see you! 😃 Do you post on twitter too or did you move to BlueSky?

Btw I've first heard the term "micromania" from Przybyszewski. I couldn't believe he had it, as characters in his books are rather megalomaniacs. ^^ But I think Matuszek wrote that you can see it based on his letters, I'm not sure. Plus Przybyszewski is said to write books where

I'm trying to decide whether to read Camus' Notebooks or Derrida's biography. I like them both. I'm actually loving the mood of Camus' Notebooks. It also makes me panic a little, because he perceives much more than me and makes me get micromania. But I guess I should be happy I can learn and feel

I miss the gold old days. In the modern GitS, Kusanagi just has a USB-C port and has to use an external adapter for the other inputs.

Man, it's pretty incredible to think Jacques Brel got so famous in France. I wish literary, theatrical songs got more popular here in Poland too. But tbh actors' songs did get popular here, along with sung poetry. That's actually a very cool feature of Polish culture abd music.

It makes me wonder if there are any another good twitter alternatives. I like the idea of Mastodon, but I guess the problem is it was too difficult for people to use. It was pretty bad how it didn't have search function for users' posts. Also how unstable the servers could get. Still, its idea was

It makes me think I should seek out more alternatives to software monopolies if I dislike them too. I used to do that. And I shouldn't get discouraged.

It makes me want to read the books on social media platforms that I wrote down too.

I've just seen new twitter terms of service. I guess Musk knows he's got a monopoly and can do whatever he wants. And that people will stay. Since there are so many good accounts there, people stay for them. But I guess it would change if more people would move. I guess moving to BlueSky would mean
