This week I interviewed pupils for our Sports Council. Their confidence, honesty, and reflections on belonging & sport were inspiring. Even more so, their drive to be advocates and role models. Student voice is transformative. Proud to lead a school where this sits at the heart of our culture.

Belonging is not a “nice to have” Belonging is not built by chance. It is shaped by inclusive leadership, culturally responsive teaching, and relationships rooted in trust. A culture of belonging isn’t built by policy it is built by people, especially those in leadership.

There is no shortage of headlines about teacher retention....what if we are not talking enough about one area? Do we talk enough and openly about how prejudice, discrimination, and racism are pushing talented educators out of schools. Not just subtly, often systematically. Let us call it what it is!

What if when you jump, you do not fall, but you fly? What if the leap you feared became the beginning of your rise? What if every risk was met not with regret, but with revelation and the sky welcomed you like it had been waiting all along? What if you just ignore the negative energy around you? 😊

Step Out (Even When It is Awkward). There is a special kind of boldness in quietly dreaming bigger than your current role allows. But dreaming is simply not enough. You have to back yourself even if your voice shakes and your comfort zone throws a tantrum. Walk into rooms where no one expects you.

A fulfilling week in Northern Ireland last week, working with school leaders and trainee teachers across 5 schools. Discussions focused on teaching, learning, and reflection. The warmth of the people and Belfast’s growing diversity stood out. Looking forward to the coaching conversations this week.

I recently had the privilege of facilitating NPQ sessions with over 45 school leaders from every continent. We delved into the principles of implementation, explored ethical leadership and had deep, thought-provoking discussions. The insights were nothing short of inspiring. #leadershipdevelopment

Being a teacher doesn't mean neglecting your health, well-being, or family. You can't help others if you don't take care of yourself. Do something today that your future self will thank you for.

Rejection is never easy, but it can be a catalyst for growth, reflection, and new opportunities. Rejection often holds lessons that push us toward greater success. Setbacks can pave the way for a comeback. Stay motivated and keep moving forward. Image : medium.com

Another fulfilling week ended coaching school leaders in China, Singapore, Spain, Qatar and UAE. The conversations were rich, insightful, and inspiring. This week, my coaching continues across Kent and London. I feel incredibly grateful to do what I do. Here’s to another week of collaboration.

I coach leaders. The best part of my role is witnessing clients transform their mindset and outlook through thought-provoking questioning. I’m here to help my clients tap into their strengths, watching them progress from “I can’t"
to “I’m not sure I can” to “Maybe I can” to “Wait, I really can!”

One of the most rewarding aspects of our work at TRaC Education is supporting apprentice teachers. Visiting schools and engaging in meaningful coaching conversations with these future leaders is inspiring. Watching them grow in confidence and develop their skills is rewarding.
