At @aa-stabilisiert.bsky.social meeting, DRC shared insights from #Afghanistan, urging adherence to humanitarian principles. Over 2M returnees from Iran & Pakistan need long-term support—livelihoods, climate resilience & recovery—led by communities themselves.
Honoured to join PARC at the @aa-stabilisiert.bsky.social talks on humanitarian priorities. We shared how integrated aid in Gaza—led by local partners—can reach more people, use resources better, and build trust, dignity, and resilience even in the toughest conditions.
With this ceasefire, the Danish Refugee Council calls for political will and concrete action to ensure access and protection for civilians.

The ceasefire is only a first step. Gaza cannot recover under siege, and Palestinians cannot heal without justice.

Our staff were in #Gaza City last week and the conditions they witnessed are catastrophic.

With winter approaching, bringing cold and rain, urgent action is required. A rapid and substantial scale-up of humanitarian assistance is desperately needed.
DRC attended the CCM and CCW meetings to share good practices and challenges from the field.
💣Explosive remnants of war, including cluster munitions continue to harm civilians - upholding norms and fostering collaboration is key.

🛑 Israel’s mass evacuation order is forcing desperate and starving Palestinians in Gaza to flee once again.

🔉Our staff report overcrowding in displacement sites, a severe lack of food, non-food items and tents and a large increase in family separations.
1 year after the escalation of hostilities in #Lebanon, Israeli military operations continue daily in the south - despite the ceasefire agreement of 27.11.2024.

DRC & other NGOs call for an immediate end to hostilities & the protection of civilians. See full statement: drc.ngo/resources/ne...

Manuel Alejandro Tique worked to assist displaced communities, migrants, and refugees.
Today, he remains detained in Venezuela without access to a trial.
📣 We call for his release.

🔁 Share this post and help us secure the release of Manuel Alejandro.

#AlejandroIsAHumanitarian
One year ago, our colleague Manuel Alejandro Tique was detained while delivering aid to vulnerable communities in Venezuela.

From the Danish Refugee Council, we raise our voice for his release. His family, friends, and colleagues need him back.

Israel has ordered the mass displacement of the entire Gaza City - 800,000 starved, bombed, and uprooted Palestinian people must flee with nowhere safe to go.

This breach of international law demands urgent global action before Gaza city is erased and the death toll soars even higher 🔗 rb.gy/ksreng
We demand an end to this man-made famine and use of starvation a weapon of war by Israeli authorities. The answer is simple, let in principled humanitarian aid at scale. The world can no longer watch without acting as this catastrophe unfolds + the Palestinian people continue to suffer
#Famineingaza
This is not just an escalation of hostilities; it is a direct targeting of civilians.

We demand accountability. We demand an immediate and permanent ceasefire, unrestricted humanitarian access, and an end to the deliberate and systematic targeting of civilian sites and shelters.
📍 5 people killed
📍 18 tents destroyed and damaged

This is the third recorded attack on DRC displacement sites. These assaults are happening as a famine is taking hold, basic services have collapsed, and principled aid is still being blocked.
On 20 August 2025, the Ashan Falasteen site in Gaza City, managed by DRC and our partner FAFD, was hit by Israel.

DRC is extremely worried about the launch of a large scale offensive by Israeli forces in Gaza City and the continuous targeting of civilians and displacement sites.
#ActForHumanity now.
To those with power and influence.

Last year, we called on you to act:
🔴Respect the rules of war.
🔴Protect humanitarians and civilians.
🔴End impunity.

Nothing changed.

How much more suffering will you ignore?

On #WorldHumanitarianDay, we urge you to #ActForHumanity – now.
The new Israel’s registration rule unlawfully requires INGO to submit sensitive data, including Palestinian staff and donors details. It is not only a serious obstruction to the delivery of aid – it is unsafe, violates humanitarian principles and must be stopped brnw.ch/21wUW0I
Amid the current lean season, a cholera outbreak, and the continuous influx of Sudanese displaced people, we call on funders to act now and help us scale up the humanitarian response—bringing protection and dignity to those who have lost everything.
Gender-based violence and food insecurity are on the rise, while people struggle to access dignified shelter and sanitation facilities.

We are on the ground delivering immediate, lifesaving assistance to displacement-affected communities, but our response remains significantly underfunded.
More than 70,500 people—primarily women and children—have arrived in a region already struggling to provide essential services to its population. Data collected by DRC warns of serious protection risks due to a climate of tension and insecurity.
