There are a few high abv indie bottles on MOM at decent prices 👍
Might be worth checking out another high abv drop, of there's any out there 🤔
That sounds nice mate, I love a fruity dram tbh, I'll keep my eye out 👌
This is a nice pour @backforthewhisky.bsky.social, got plenty of flavour 🤤
Not too shabby mate 👍. What did you go for?
What's that like Jason? I've only tried one of theirs I think, and it was a 40% drop I think.
Well, that's another fireworks night done and dusted, and now for a dram, my 996th, and thanks to @backforthewhisky.bsky.social for sending this out, cheers Mark 🥃
I haven't tried that one Mark.
Always worth a try Sav 👌
That's a real shame tbh, I've literally enjoyed everything I've tasted from them, different strokes for different folks I guess.
Overall - Another great dram from @bimberdistillery.bsky.social imho. That's 22 of their whiskies I've now tried, and 22 I've thoroughly enjoyed, and if ex PX sherry/Sherry cask drams are your thing, this is definitely one to try. #WeAreBimber
🏁 - The finish is quite long, and spicy all the way to the end. It does develop into high cocoa count dark chocolate, currants, espresso and black pepper. @bimberdistillery.bsky.social #WeAreBimber
👅 - A nice thick mouthfeel, and plenty of spices, similar to the nose initially. It actually anaesthetises parts of my tongue and lips. It's rather rich flavour wise, and nicely rounded. Ex PX sherry cask lovers will enjoy this. @bimberdistillery.bsky.social #WeAreBimber
👃 - We have another big nose here. It comes across as spicy, with demerara sugar, Pontefract cakes, anise and cloves. Tiramisu, damp leaf litter, molasses/black treacle all come through, and nosing it with my mouth open, I can taste it in my mouth. @bimberdistillery.bsky.social #WeAreBimber
Up next, @bimberdistillery.bsky.social Santa Edition 2025. Ex PX sherry cask, it's not Peated, casks #522/36 @ 57.3% abv, and is due for general release in early December. This is the 22nd Bimber I've tried, and my 995th dram tasted. #WeAreBimber #1kdrams
I love it when whisky folks do this. What do you get when they're blended, that neither of the whiskies have on their own?
Overall - I have tasted a few @bimberdistillery.bsky.social drams now, and like the others, it doesn't disappoint. It's so flavourful, the spices really do hang around for a while. It's a lovely dram, and I'd like to hear from others who have tried this. #WeAreBimber
🏁 - Spicy, and quite long. That syrupy thickness is lovely. Black pepper and lots of stewed dark fruits continue, along with a sweetness, like caster sugar. #WeAreBimber
