Heya folks, I've finished 3 more movies, The Omen (1976), Aguirre, The Wrath of God (1972), and Fitzcarraldo (1982).

I hadn't seen The Omen in a long time, but was a rewatch. The other two were completely new to me.

Well folks, it's the literal end of an era, as I've finished watching everything Star Trek TOS related for the first time.

That was a pretty fantastic journey, and I think one of the things that made all of it so entertaining was the crew dynamics and interactions. On to The Next Generation!

Heya folks, while I was testing demos today, I was also watching three of the Star Trek movies, Star Trek II (1982) Star Trek III (1984) and Star Trek IV (1986).

They were all very entertaining movies, and I plan to finish off the final 2 tomorrow, then I can start on The Next Generation.

This game is rather interesting, and revolves around exploring the main character's home planet after it has been taken over by a strange fungus, killing everyone.

The game is only just about to enter Steam Early Access, so I imagine a lot of stuff will change/improve over the course of its development, but it's been an interesting experience and I look forward to seeing them implement more scientifically accurate stuff.

The game also has uses the Alt key as a free look which allows you to look around in your cockpit, and your lasers auto aim at any target that you're looking at while in free look as well. I imagine there'll be a VR option in the future, that'll make this more intuitive.

Combat is a tad more difficult because you have to compensate for both your propulsion as well as the opposing ship. Actually hitting your target with a railgun is quite challenging, especially if they're a small target.

Well, the first really noticeable thing is how velocity and propulsion works. If you accelerate too much, you'll overshoot your target by a lot due to Newton's First Law. Strafing is a lot slower than other space sims too, but this ties into the above as well.
