I spent time with my Year 1s reflecting on reflection and exploring all things learning objectives. And ended the day by setting them a “secret mission” to gain insights from Kayleigh McLaughlin’s Year 2s!

A lovely reminder that the best days are the ones spent learning with others.

My UCC ITE Year 1s are now well into the swing of things and have settled into a classroom culture of gold stars, clapping, and whooping. Joyful learning in action!

I have really enjoyed joining the #Techtober events when I can, and this week’s session on AI and Neurodiverse Learners, led by Freya Rose Bevan, was particularly insightful. The live demos were so useful!

I have also been having some fun with autodraw, which I had not come across before!

We explored all things 3D, oil painting processes, children’s books, and canvases.

Tina Bullen and I also shared and exchanged our latest works. It is exciting to see how our ideas are developing and to gain valuable peer feedback from fellow creatives.

It is week three in the ITE classroom, and our discussions have been buzzing with ideas around pedagogy, andragogy, and heutagogy.

We also unpacked the many roles and responsibilities of the FE educator… and welcomed two new (and very busy!) colleagues to the room: Trevor and Motivator.
