This is how we build a movement.

I had a wonderful time engaging new supporters at Shaghf Cafe, an Arab-American-owned small business in LD 27.

I extend my gratitude to Laith and Zahra for their warm hospitality. Meet us Shaghf on the fourth Saturdays of the month: www.mobilize.us/mobilize/eve...
On November 1st, 900,000 Arizonans will lose access to SNAP food benefits.

Earlier this year, I visited St Marys Food Bank and learned that more people are hungry today than in 2020.

I call on all GOP legislators to bring this shutdown to an end before our neighbors starve.
In my recent interview for Prensa Arizona, I said "politics should not have colors."

"It is not a question of red or blue on the ballot, but what do you want the government to do for you and who is the best person to make that happen?"

The latest inflation report confirms what we all feel: prices are out of control.

Inflation ticked up 3% last month.

While most Arizonans live paycheck to paycheck, CEOs enjoyed record profits.

The system is rigged. And I'm running to fix it.
Trump is literally bulldozing American history.

Why? To make a $300 million ballroom for his billionaire friends.

I'm running to find common sense solutions to reduce the cost of living, provide quality healthcare, and fully fund our public schools.
I’m honored to have the backing of an amazing leader in Lorenzo Sierra. He showed us what’s possible when we put aside differences and legislate in bipartisan fashion. I hope to be able to follow his example when I am elected next year.
“Be bold, be brave, be safe, be loud.”

Peaceful protest is a cornerstone of democracy and using your voice matters. ✊

Join the #NoKingsProtest tomorrow, as we make it clear that we will not go back! We will fight for our rights, together.
Together, we will make history.

Join me in our movement to flip LD 27 and enjoy the first Democratic majority in the State House of Representatives since 1966.

On First Amendment Day, I used my voice to call out the hypocrisy in Rep. Lisa Fink’s recent op-ed on “states’ rights.”

This week, @POTUS has spread unproven ties between Tylenol, vaccines and autism without new evidence.

According to @CDCgov, autism affects 1 in 31 US children.

As a legislator, I'll keep our children healthy the responsible way: informed by decades of robust scientific expertise.

As we remember the lives lost on September 11th, let us never forget the pain of that day, nor the hope we find in unity and service.
Violence is not the answer to political difference.

We condemn this violence and share condolences with Charlie Kirk's family, asking that all take their words seriously.
This Labor Day, I joined workers at the AZ State Capitol.

Tariffs are costing families. Long-term unemployment is rising. Worker protections are being gutted.

I’m proposing an Opportunity Agenda for AZ, lowering costs, & protecting affordable healthcare.
Thank you to everyone who came out to the LD27 Dems meeting last week and who took the time to sign my nomination petition! Meeting voters face to face is so important as this campaign gets rolling!

If you live in LD27, you can sign my petition at apps.azsos.gov/equal/

Community came together at the joint @ld27democrats.bsky.social & @az-ld28-dems.bsky.social meeting this week! I love getting out there and talking to voters about what impacts them!

And it’s always a pleasure hearing from @azagmayes.bsky.social! Her leadership is so inspiring.

This ruling is a historic step toward ensuring every child, no matter their ZIP code, has access to a quality education. Now it’s time for the Legislature to do its job.

We’ve known for years that the Arizona Legislature has failed to adequately and equitably fund our public schools. Today, a judge affirmed what educators, parents, and students have been saying all along: this isn’t just wrong, it’s unconstitutional.
