The way the Russia/Alaska route is drawn it appears to call for one continuous span underwater for over twice the distance (about 55 miles).
For me I like being able to take my time on projects. Any kind of project, but for example I don’t have to squeeze a home improvement project into a long weekend like I had to before.
The longer you noodle with it the more you lose perspective - seems to be a common trap with all art. Photography, drawing, painting and even mixing songs in recording studio.
