For a league that cares about player safety not throwing the flag for the hit on Josh Allen the one time he actually chose to slide seems like they just shortened his career by 5 years on that play.

The frequency that NFL teams still go jumbo on short yardage 4th down situations and telegraph “we’re running it to the side of our DT playing FB” and get stuffed is why teams that only depend on analytics for “should I go for it or not” suck.

REMINDER: if you fumble and the ball goes out of bounds it should be a turnover. protecting the rock is the most important thing and we should punish teams that do not do that.
