If you haven't already, I recommend you listen to the last two episodes of The News Agents with Emily Maitliss. Grim and depressing, but illuminating.
It does not work. It is an obscenity that this country needs to grow out of and let go.
What I don't understand is the whole royal establishment being given a free pass on the Andrew and Epstein scandal. The queen stumped up millions to try to make this scandal go away. It isn't just about vile sexual abuse, it's about the royal family and the exploitation of their position and wealth.
Same. I listened religiously right from my late teens. Although I stopped about 5 years ago following Brexit. Same for BBC news. I'm well into my 60s and a bit lost now.
And there I was, feeling quite happy with them as my bank. Time to move on methinks. Any recommendations?
Well, they do regard us as being the 51st state.
Remember, UK, make sure you have your pints of beer, salted peanuts, and your towel ready at 3pm. You have been warned!
Don't forget that students in the 70s and 80s were able to sign on between university terms. Many also used the money for a nice trip away.
We were saying the exact same thing and have resolved to find a women's team to support. Just wonderful.
Be careful regarding private school support for SEND pupils. They are not obliged to provide this, and many actively discriminate against SEND applicants. Those that do accept SEND pupils may make parents pay extra fees for support. The ofsted regime for private schools is also less rigorous.
Also, what on earth did she have to offer? Just woolly nonsense.
This month, I receive my first state pension age 66.
I've lived on my occupational pension for the last 5 years.
I don't need the fuel allowance, but I am now entitled due to my "low" income.
Give the money to working people who can't afford heating due to extortionate rents being paid to boomers!
I assume that's a serious question?
Restrictions on movement. Anti-EU sentiment. Difficulty bringing other family into the UK. Value of sterling plummeted, making it less lucrative/viable for EU workers.
Don't worry, I'm one of the lucky ones with a decent occupational pension, so it's the least I can do.
I know it's a bit of a cliché but thanks for what you do. There are plenty of us who get it and feel impotent, but you give me hope. I get my state pension next month, so I should be able to chip in a bit more in support.
It's a miserable and nonsensical situation that attacks another small minority. How about tackling the big and important issues that face us all?
I really wish Labour would start shouting back that it's Brexit has done this, NOT asylum seekers.
Before Brexit, I had a brilliant NHS dentist who commuted weekly from Germany. He loved this arrangement, and it worked brilliantly for everyone!
I suppose she blames the woke for her failed brasen efforts to destroy the TV gold that is Countdown.
It's not woke to despise her, it's just a natural response.
I'm glad I'm still woke at 65.
So is Trump definitely a Russian operative?
Did he send agent Vance to kill the pope?
Are you picking up creepy 1970s vibes when a guy became incredibly popular, despite being an obvious weirdo, constantly appeared on the BBC and fooled lots of people to believe he was a great chap.
Only later to be unmasked and regarded as totally toxic.
Putin stooge, obviously, not a sex pest.
I really, really hope you are right.
Amazing news today in the Mail

They've turned on Johnson and Farage for the disaster they created with Brexit ........................................Oh.
