In the midst of a shutdown, President Trump has decided Argentina matters more than the American people.

Giving $20 billion to another country while you fire your own workforce, raise health care costs, and leave American farmers struggling is not “America First”.

Republicans have shut down the government rather than lower your health care costs.

People across our community are already getting their health care rate notices and I want to hear from you. [1/2]

I pray that this ceasefire endures and becomes the foundation for a future of lasting peace, security, and dignity for both Israelis and Palestinians. [3/3]

There can be no delay in delivering additional aid, restoring essential services, and building the stability needed to ensure this agreement holds. There is still difficult work ahead. [2/3]

The ceasefire underway in Gaza has brought long-awaited hope—the remaining hostages reunited with their families and a surge of humanitarian aid delivered to the Palestinian people who have endured unbearable loss. [1/3]

I’m not going to stand for it. Sacramento, and all of America, deserves better. [2/2]

From Stockton Blvd. to Florin Square to Midtown, our city is a place where small businesses can flourish.

But Republicans have decided that supporting our entrepreneurs and protecting their access to affordable health care is an afterthought in their pursuit of cruel, misguided policies. [1/2]

Democrats are united in the fight to protect your health care.

Republicans think they can mislead the public and get away with it, but the American people see what they're really doing: raising costs and ripping away coverage. We’re not backing down.

Florin Square is the heart of South Sacramento's vibrant Black-owned small businesses.

If Republicans let the ACA’s enhanced premium tax credits expire, premiums could double. That’s make-or-break for small business owners who are already stretched thin.

They deserve a fair shot, not higher costs.

In the face of pleas from the spouse of a military member living paycheck to paycheck with children whose lives rely on medication, Speaker Johnson continues to blame Democrats.

That's not leadership. Speaker Johnson, do your job—bring back the House and let's get to work for the American people.
C-SPAN caller confronts House Speaker Mike Johnson about shutdown effects: 'My kids could die'
The caller, who was identified as a Republican and military spouse, said she would not be able to afford her children's medication if the shutdown continues.

Every storefront on Stockton Blvd tells a story—of hard work, of family, of perseverance.

It’s a place where diverse cultures intersect. Where generations of small business owners work hard to lift up their community.

I won’t let Republicans play political games with their health and future.
dorismatsui.bsky.social
Republicans are in disarray. Turns out “take away health care and double people’s premiums” doesn’t play well with the American people.

Time to stop the chaos and get back to work.

Republicans are so committed to continuing their reckless shutdown that Speaker Johnson is willing to let our service members go without pay.

Hurting our heroes isn’t leverage, it’s disgraceful.

Thank you, @coveredca.bsky.social , for joining me to sound the alarm.

The numbers don’t lie—without action, health care costs will soar.

Republicans’ refusal to extend the ACA tax credits is a direct attack on our community. We will keep fighting to make sure every Sacramentan can afford care.

Jessica Altman of CoveredCA hosted Rep. Rep. Doris Matsui to discuss the impact on #Sacramento if the #ACA's enhanced premium tax credits expire at the end of the year. Premiums would rise by 97% on average and 111% in Rep. Matsui's district.

The law is clear. Federal workers are required to receive back pay after a shutdown.

This is yet another act of cruelty and disregard from this Administration toward hardworking public servants.

I stand with our federal workers against these reckless, baseless attacks.
Trump suggests not all furloughed workers will get back pay: 'It depends'
Trump also said at the White House that if the shutdown drags on several days longer, a "substantial" number of jobs "will never come back."

Families in Sacramento and across the country are united: extend the ACA tax credits.

Republicans are out of step with the American people. They need to listen to their constituents and get back to work.

Health care premium notices are arriving this month, and many Sacramentans are finding out they’ll be paying more for their coverage.

I want to hear from you. Share your story or a photo of your notice so I can show Republicans the real impact their actions are having on Sacramento families.

I’ve heard from small business owners in my district who made it clear what'll happen if these credits expire and premiums skyrocket.

In the face of the uncertainty & inflation caused by the Trump administration, they can’t afford another blow.

Cancel the cuts. Lower the cost. Save health care.
dorismatsui.bsky.social
@housedemocrats.bsky.social demands are simple:

➡️Extend the enhanced premium tax credits.

➡️Protect Medicaid.

➡️Keep health care affordable and accessible for EVERY American family.
