We don’t need a third party in American Politics, what we need is for the two parties we have to remember their job is to work for the common good. In fact, if we made that our agenda as citizens, America would be great, and not just for a select few.

The idea of the common good as the motive for political action has been silenced by the big beautiful bill - and with it, the core values that gave us the potential of being a great nation. We have traded the golden rule for a golden calf.

It seems to me that fear and hate toward your neighbor take as much (if not more) energy, with poorer results, than seeking understand and showing love toward your neighbor.

For the record, the poor are not a "Parasite Class" as president Musk inferred them to be with a post on "X" this week. However, If you agree with him that they are, you are not only on the wrong side of history, but the wrong side of Jesus.
