My point is you could find a transparent non stonewalling empathetic bishop who bankrupts the diocese etc AND it would not be enough to ever get a “ well done” from some quarters.

No one ever “wins” . It’s degrees of losing.

No one should mourn the old clerical system of the Catholic Church in the United States, but that system at least prevented the insane zealotry that we see today. The problem is that today prominent representatives of that clerical system are supporting that zealotry.

Yeah, Boomers are just people. Around 1968 Dems were so successful they started losing Union blue collar voters to GOP. New Deal no longer working so they turned to corporate center to win.🤷‍♂️
Now, the New Deal is undermined. Nothing will change until we stop voting in self interest alone. Repent!😎
